NPR LAUNCHES FIRST-EVER SUMMER EDITION OF BOOKS WE LOVE

by GPB CEO Teya Ryan

If you’re like me, you’re always searching for your next great read, and this year, you can get some wonderful ideas with NPR’s first-ever summer edition of Books We Love, an interactive reading recommendations guide.

Whether it’s the mystery you can’t put down or the memoir you recommend to all your friends, NPR Books is the place for discovery, with the summer edition of Books We Love featuring more than 160 of NPR staff and critics’ favorite books from 2022 so far, published from January - June.

Using NPR Books’ categorization system, which is both functional and fun, you can mix and match tags such as The States We’re In for stories of the American experience both true and fictional. It’s All Geek to Me is for deep dives on particular topics – trees, personality tests, tiny houses, you name it. In The Dark Side, you’ll find tales of dystopias to true crime. Eye-Opening Reads will give you a new perspective on the topic at hand, from the state of philanthropy or a new pair of shoes.
