Department of Defense Contracts June 2018 previously awarded single award indefinite/delivery-requirements contract (N62470-16-D-2013) for procurement of one 25-ton portal crane at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. The work to be performed provides for design, fabrication, assembly, delivery, installation, and testing of one 25-ton portal crane. The new crane will be equipped with a rotating superstructure, luffing boom, main hoist and a single line whip hoist. The crane will be capable of simultaneous hoisting, slewing and luffing with rated load at rated speeds on curved tracks. Work will be performed in New Berlin, Wisconsin (90 percent); and Bremerton, Washington (10 percent), and is expected to be completed by June 2020. Fiscal 2018 other procurement (Navy) contract funds in the amount of $17,115,980 are obligated on this award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity. Krempp Construction Inc.,* Jasper, Indiana, is awarded a $16,978,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the construction of the Crane Army Ammunition Activity, Ammunition Production, Shipping and Receiving Facilities at Naval Support Activity Crane. The work to be performed provides for construction of a new shipping and receiving building, along with an ammunition production building for plating of metal pyrotechnical munition parts. Supporting facilities include railroad tracks with ties and ballast, electric and water service, industrial and sanitary sewers, lighting, fencing, lightning protection, fire protection and alarm systems, roads, curbs, gutters, storm drainage, landscaping, and site improvements. The demolition of 11 buildings is also included in this project. Work will be performed in Crane, Indiana, and is expected to be completed by August 2020. Fiscal 2018 military construction (Army) contract funds in the amount of $16,978,000 are obligated on this award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with two proposals received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N40085-18-C-8701). Austal USA, Mobile, Alabama, is awarded a $16,303,195 cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-only, and firm-fixed-price modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-17-C-2301) for Littoral Combat Ships class design services and integrated data and product model environment (IDPME) support.
