Alan Goodall

Dr Alan Goodall’s scientific research into the behavioural ecology and conservation of rare mountain gorillas in Central Africa is internationally renowned. Conducting his research at the Karisoke Research Centre in Rwanda, where he was Director between 1987-1989, and the Kahuzi-Biega National Park in Zaire, his work has been extensively documented, including in his book ‘The Wandering Gorillas’. Alan also received international awards for his programme ‘Among Mountain Gorillas’. His material has also featured in a number of documentaries, including Sir David Attenborough’s series ‘Trials of Life’.
