HARDZEI SECOND YEAR ARCHITECTURE PORTFOLIO PASADENA CITY COLLEGE

PERAPECHKA

Hardzei Perapechka, born in Minsk, Belarus. Moved to the United States at the age of twelve. I have no idea where my interest in architecture came from having no family background in the field. Yet it intreges, fascinates, and has provided me with the much needed guidance and personal growth for the past twelve years. Personally the only thing that is more interesting about the puzzles that architectural problems pose and the discussions that spring from them is figuring out the most oppropriate solution or solutions to those problems. To me architecture is much like psychology. Every action has an adequete response. Education Graduate with High Honors of John Marshvall HS, Class 2011 Curently Second Year Architecture Student at Pasadena City College Awards 2010 - Ace graduate scolorship for students who pursue fields of Architecture construction and engineering 2010 - Ace scholorshp for summer residency at falling water 2011 - PCC award for outstanding academic achievement

Project Description: Century City Mall redevelopment project is surface development assignment. Studying mall development and relationships of store locations and mall organization the surface developed to create continuous shopping environment. Mall becomes an interactive environment where street furniture and public features emerge out of the Mall surface itself. Enclosing and caving development of the surface provides for commercial display and shade areas.

Concept: Facilitation describes species interactions that benefit at least one of the participants and cause harm to neither. Facilitations can be categorized as mutualism, in which both species benefit, or commercialism, in which one species benefits and the other is unaffected.

External Reference: Lichens are composite organisms consisting of a symbiotic relationship between a fungus and algae. The fungus encloses the algal cells within complex tissue. Both partners gain water and mineral nutrients mainly from the atmosphere, through rain and dust. The fungal partner protects the alga by retaining water. The algal partner reduces atmospheric carbon dioxide into organic carbon sugars to feed both partners.

Concept: Viruses develop and survive by being able to use neighbouring hosts as a vessel. Any virus replicates by leaving a sample of its RNA inside a targeted cell.

Description: Two complementary systems ‘A’ and ‘B’ undergo change by manipulating of vertices. The change varies on a set of rules based on incremental change. These depend on the dimensions of the bounding box within which the system exists. Combination of two systems occurs through migration and attachment of system ‘B’ to system ‘A’

Objective: Construct an object which works on the principle of structural support and material enclosure. Description: High density structural system associates with bone density resulted in weaving of bone matter. Vertical disks are held together by tension created vertical regiment like system. Created spine like structure is partially enclosed with pentagon panel system to achieve the feeling of sound solidity yet lightness. Bone Annalysis Pt.1

ARCH 20A SPRING 2012 - COLEMAN GRIFFITH

Description: Alumni Commons is aggregation project. Project consists of two major portions: cafe (Alumni Commons) and the development of the PCC plaza space. Within the project three dimensional space units are propagated within the site. Spacial units deform based on function to accommodate the program development within. The units establish a relationship between the user and observer through the development around the existing ground plane.

Concept: Subsumption- knowledge is acquired by studying material from general specific. New material is based upon v established information
