GREG MISKINIS joined the Penn State men’s basketball staff as the program’s strength and conditioning coach in summer 2016. An eight-year veteran in the field, Miskinis is an assistant director of performance enhancement and has been with the Penn State athletics department since 2009. He will oversee all facets of performance enhancement for the Nittany Lion men’s basketball program, including speed development, power production, explosive mobility, agility, conditioning, mental toughness, work ethic, proper warm-up and cool down techniques, flexibility and regeneration. A former letterwinner on the Nittany Lion football team, Miskinis spent the last two and a half years working with the national champion women’s soccer team, as well as the men’s lacrosse program. He previously assisted with the strength and conditioning efforts of the football program, including a three-month stretch as the interim director of strength and conditioning for the athletics department. Prior to his full-time appointment with football, women’s soccer and men’s lacrosse team, he assisted the Penn State football team as a graduate assistant coach from 2009-2012 while receiving his Master of Education in health education (2011). He graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology in 2008. Miskinis played football as tight end from 2004-2008.

Miskinis holds certifications from Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa), American Heart Association CPR/AED and Skogg Strength Coach Kettlebell. The Lewistown, Pennsylvania native is married to the former Megan Altig, who is the sister of Penn State women’s lacrosse assistant coach Amy Altig.
