GCAA All-American Scholars In 1984 the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) started honoring All-America Scholars. Honorees must be at least a junior, possess a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, average 77 or better and play in at least 75 percent of their teams’ competitions. Penn State has been represented with 20 selections since the inception of this award.
