Morgan Academic Center Assistant Director First Season Louisville ’05 KELLYNN WILSON IS in her first season serving as the Lady Lions’ academic advisor. Wilson comes to Happy Valley from St. Louis University, where she served as the Director of Student-Athlete Support Services. With the Billikens, Wilson was responsible for the administration and oversight of all aspects of student-athlete academic support and student-athlete development for all 350 student-athletes. Wilson started her career at the University of Louisville, where she worked for five years, serving as the Assistant Director of Academic Services. At Louisville, her primary responsibilities were advising football, women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, and men’s soccer. She was also responsible for the academic success of the men’s and women’s tennis teams, was the coordinator of the Houston-Bridgeman Fellows Degree Completion Program and taught in the Health & Sport Sciences Department. A native of Willingboro, New Jersey, Wilson earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science/sports medicine in May 2005 and a master’s degree in education from the University of Louisville in the May 2008.

STEPHANIE ZONARS

Coordinator of Community Outreach Third Season Wittenberg University ’89 STEPHANIE ZONARS BEGINS her third year with the Lady Lions as the coordinator of community outreach. Zonars responsibilities include managing community outreach and public appearances for the Lady Lions and head coach Coquese Washington. She also plays an integral role in leader development and mental training for the team. Zonars owns her own business, Life Beyond Sport, which resources coaches through team-building workshops and personal coaching. As a team-building coach, Zonars facilitates creative team-building workshops, guides coaches around areas like life balance, leadership and team dynamics and speaks at conventions. She has presented at the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association National Convention, the American Volleyball Coaches Association Convention, the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Clinic and the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Conference. Prior to starting her own business, Zonars spent 18 years at Athletes in Action in Xenia, Ohio. Her passion to help people grow developed during these years as the leader of numerous domestic and international basketball tours comprised of college and post-college athletes and coaches. A member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), Zonars has authored Wisdom for the Busy Coach (2011), Leader of the Pack: The Legacy of Legendary Coach Kay Yow (2009) and Timeout: Moments with God for Winning in Life (2008). Zonars earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration at Wittenberg University in 1989. She resides in Boalsburg.

MARY McCAHAN

Administrative Assistant, Finance 13th Season MARY McCAHAN JOINED the Lady Lions as a staff assistant in September 2002. McCahan oversees the financial operations of the office and is responsible for maintaining head coach Coquese Washington’s calendar. A native of Tyrone, Pa., McCahan has worked at Penn State for 19 years, including seven years at Penn State Hospitality Services before moving to the women’s basketball office. McCahan has been involved with Special Olympics Pennsylvania as a member of the Blair County Management Committee, a volleyball and basketball coach and a unified partner for volleyball. She has been honored as the Blair County Volunteer Family of Year (2004) and the Blair County Outstanding Newest Committee Member (2006). She was also elected to the Blair County Special Olympics Hall of Fame in 2007. McCahan and her husband, Scott, reside in Tyrone. The couple has two daughters, Jennifer and Christina, who is a Penn State graduate, and a grandsons, Wyatt, Carson and Mason.
