Marshall used a red-shirt season in 2009-10 to add 15-pounds of muscle in the weight room and strengthen a knee injury (patella tendon) that sidelined him during his senior season of high school. Long and wiry, the 6-4 guard also proved an adept play maker and scorer in practice, often mimicking opponent’s top scorer while taking on the Lion’s eightman rotation as a member of the scout team. He will look to take his court vision and passing skills into competition for the first time in more than two years in 2010-11. His length and perimeter shooting allow him to play anywhere from pointguard to small forward and should give him a strong opportunity to become part of the Lions’ regular rotation.
