This Venue Guide is intended to be a directory and resource for groups looking to host events in and around the exciting city of Milwaukee during the 2024 Republican National Convention week. The COA has partnered with a wide range of Milwaukee-area venues to provide a plethora of event options for Convention visitors. Ranging in size and scope, from traditional Wisconsin supper clubs to renowned museums to historic theaters, we are confident that Convention visitors will find their perfect Milwaukee experience within these pages

The Cheel, which opened in 2014, was in a 130-year-old Queen Anne building in downtown Thiensville, Wisconsin. According to Wisconsin Historical Society property records, the building was a residence in 1985 and was made into a tavern later that year Restaurants then occupied the building beginning in 1970
Sadly, The Cheel’s building was destroyed in a fire in November of 2020, but the restaurant is set to re-open the doors of its brand-new building in Fall 2023.
