You Are Never Alone

Hebrews 13:5, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such thing as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (KJV).

I remember when I was young and still going to school, I always got nervous about going back after a summer break. For some reason, the thought

of moving to a higher grade scared me to death. I lived with my aunt and uncle, and my aunt would always say, “Sammy, God will help you get through the day, just pray and ask Him to help you and calm your nerves.”

You know, those were such wise words. Those words are still true today. I still apply them to my life; I pray every day and ask God to walk with me!

In the Word of God, Isaiah 41:10 says, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

As a new school year approaches, the thought of moving to a higher grade this year than you did last year can be very scary. The thought of new teachers and sometimes new schools can be nerve-racking for sure.

I have good news for you, the Bible tells us we are never alone. God will walk with us wherever we go. He will take care of us and protect us each and every day. God is a great God that loves His children! He loved us enough to send His Son Jesus to die on a cross for our sins! Jeremiah 33:3, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” As you get up each morning, let me encourage you to start your day in prayer. Ask God to help you through your day and protect you from anything bad. Let me say— if you do that, I assure you that God will walk right beside you each and every day.

There will be tests and quizzes that you have to take. When you study, ask God to help you understand and give you the knowledge you need to pass. I can tell you from experience, God has never let me down. I was always really nervous and scared about tests, but God always showed up right on time. Praise the Lord!

So, let this school year be the best year ever, knowing…you are never alone!
