The Brass Lantern he Brass Lantern is a southern food family restaurant. . About a
year and a half ago it changed hands and that owner changed the name. In December of 2019, Wanda Bramblett and her daughter Erica Griffin decided to take over the restaurant. They wanted to take it back to its original name and hopefully be the place that families would once again gather. They both have lived in Murray County their entire life and grew up eating at the restaurant with Wanda’s parents and Erica’s grandparents Paul and Viola Jackson.Wanda has a background in real estate. Erica has a Masters degree in Leadership. Erica is married to Derek Griffin and they have two boys Blake and Landon Griffin. Wanda also has another daughter Kristy Bramblett who resides in Destin, Florida. Erica and Wanda want the restaurant to be a place for their kids and grandkids to be able to enjoy with their families for years to come. Wanda and Erica have a customer and quality first mentality. They know that without the customers the business would not be, so they 34 // November 2020
appreciate each and everyone in the county and surrounding counties that come out to support the restaurant.
