Charles Atkins, along with his family, opened PuroClean Property Damage Experts of Cleveland, TN, and began doing business in Cleveland and surrounding areas in 2014. Since then, many things have changed with the business, but one thing that has not is the desire to serve God and serve others. PuroClean is not just a business, the Atkins family considers it their ministry.

In the early days, the company had one technician and one vehicle. Today, we have a fleet of vehicles including vans, box trucks, tractors, and trailers. On any given day, we may have up to forty-five team members working. We have approximately 400 air movers and 100 dehumidifiers and commercial generators. We use state-of-the-art specialty equipment.

Our technicians are certified by IICRC, which is the certification and standard-setting non-profit organization for the inspection, cleaning, and restoration industries. The restoration industry is ever-changing, and to remain on the cutting edge, our technicians continue education and online training through the PuroClean Academy.

Disaster Team, therefore service to Cleveland is never disrupted. The Disaster Team served the area of Chattanooga following the Easter 2020 Tornado. We provided a demo and dry out for a multimillion-dollar apartment complex, as well as serving other businesses and homes in that area. The Disaster Team responded to Texas following the Polar Vortex of 2021, providing demo and dry out for approximately 150 apartments. The Disaster Team recently spent weeks in Colorado following the wildfires providing smoke and soot restoration for homes. We have serviced such areas as LA (hurricane 2021), KY (floods), AR (flooding), NC, and FL (hurricane and tornadoes).

Most recently, our Disaster Team spent many weeks in Dresden, TN, providing restoration services for seven businesses following the December 2021 tornadoes. Our Disaster Team had the privilege of working alongside Staff Sergeant William Atkins and his platoon from Fort Campbell, KY, cleaning up debris in the small town. Staff Sergeant Atkins is the great-nephew of Charles.
