Obituaries VIVIAN A. CAUDILL Vivian Allen Caudill, 97, of Richmond, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Feb. 2, 2018. She was born in Sevierville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Sweden Cyrus Allen and Edith Webb Allen. Vivian is now reunited with her late husband, Paul Green Caudill, CAUDILL with whom she was married for 59 years; her precious daughter, Belinda Glidewell; and her beloved grandson, Jason Glidewell. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Caudill Perkins and her husband, James L. Perkins Jr.,

of Manakin-Sabot; and son-in-law, Greg Glidewell. She is also survived by six grandchildren and their spouses, Troy Glidewell and his wife, Linda, Chad Glidewell, Melisa Glidewell, Todd Glidewell, James Paul Perkins and his wife, Katherine and Emily Perkins-Margolin and her husband, Moti. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list, but not forgotten. Mrs. Caudill was a charter member of Bon Air Baptist Church since 1955, and was an active member of their Sunday school program for over 60 years. She also proudly was founding member of The Bon Air Heights Garden Club since 1958. She worked full-time for 23 years, in addition to being a beloved wife and mother. In her lifetime, Vivian

was a treasured friend to all. Those who have taken her lessons to heart will continue to catch crabs off of the dock of the Corrotoman River, and meet yearly with family on the hill in Buckingham County with fried chicken and potato salad, and will be sure to keep the hydrangeas blooming from the summer through the fall. Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home. There will be an interment for family only in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The celebration of her life and services was held on Friday, Feb.9, at Bon Air Baptist Church on Buford Road, with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts may be made to Bon Air Baptist Church or Virginia Garden Club, Piedmont district.

JOSEPH P. CONDREY Joseph Phillip “Daddy Joe” “Slow Joe” Condrey, 87, of Richmond, passed away peacefully on Jan. 29, 2018. He was the son of the late Robert Daniel Condrey and Willie Archer Payne Condrey; and was preceded in death by his wife, Clairene Boaze Condrey; son, Keith Condrey; stepson, Warren Spruill; sisters, CONDREY Mabel Richardson and Madeline Tapscott; and brothers, Robert and Clyde Condrey. He is survived by his brothers, Allen, Milton, Howard and William Condrey; sister, Joyce Pitts; children, Kenneth Condrey, Terri Lynn Smith, Michael

Condrey and Denise Sumski; grandchildren, Andrew Condrey, Lauren Sumski and Keith Smith; stepgrandchildren, Shelly Haggerty, Kim Stormes; great-grandsons, Lawton and Bowden; and daughter-inlaw, Patti Condrey. Joe was proud of growing up on a dairy farm in Goochland County, serving in the U.S. Army, and being a retired electrician supervisor, and he would reflect back at various buildings he helped build. He enjoyed listening to country music, dancing at his local lodge, watching baseball, eating at Cracker Barrel, fishing and hunting. The family received friends on Thursday, Feb. 8, at Bennett Funeral Home in Glen Allen, with a memorial service conducted afterward. Private interment.
