Millions of dollars in funding secured for Nicholls

Ian Clinch Medallion winners

We were very proud to hear that Gr 6 student Zuri and Gr 5 student Tom were the 2022 Ian Clinch Medallion winners.

e medallion is awarded to the Euroa District primary school sports champions, based on their excellent performances at the Euroa District swimming, cross-country and athletics events. ere are seven primary schools in the Euroa District, with approximately 800 students, so to win the award is a great achievement.

e award is named a er Mr Ian Clinch, our recently retired Euroa District Sport Coordinator. It recognises Mr Clinch’s thirty-seven years of service to the Victorian Education Department and in particular his enthusiasm for and commitment to rural students, sport and physical education. Because of Mr Clinch’s talents, skills and e ort, thousands of students have been able to enjoy and bene t from active participation and competition.

We hope that in thirty-seven years’ time, Zuri and Tom are still active, healthy, enjoying their sport and physical activity and encouraging others to do likewise.
