The Sausmarez Cup organized for the first time in 1905 on behalf of Havilland De Sausmarez, one of the first members of the Istanbul Golf Club, was held on November 22 at the Gloria Golf Club in Belek. A total number of 88 players, including guest golfers, participated in the tournament held in the Old Course of the Club. Atasehir Golf Club President Selahattin Özdoğan, one of the seniors of Istanbul Golf Club, became the champion of the 2019 Sausmarez Cup with 81 strikes. Selahattin Çankaya (17 hcp) ranked first with 40 points in Men’s Category B which included players with 14-36 handicaps. A VERY SUCCESSFUL POINT FROM DORA Captain of Ankara Golf Club Gülay Dora became the star player of the tournament which was played in a sunny weather in Gloria Old Course. Dora, started with 20 handicaps, reached a total of 44 points scoring 26 points in the last nine holes in the tournament. She ranked first at the women’s category where she ranked the second previous year. The winners of the Sausmarez Cup were given their cups at a ceremony held in the Gloria Serenity Hotel.
