How to Find From M6: Leave the motorway at Junction 28 and follow the signs for Chorley A6, at the traffic lights (The Hayrick Pub) turn right on to the A49 following the signs for Wigan. Turn left after Leyland Golf Club following signs for M61 down ‘Dawson Lane’ (BUCKSHAW DEVELOPMENT) go straight at the first roundabout and turn left at the traffic lights, keep on the road until it eventually stops at a T Junction (A6) turn right towards Chorley and SHAW HILL 20 yards on the right. The wonderful Georgian Manor House now lovingly restored and owned by the Stokes family, is a breathtaking sight, one which dominates the landscape as you make your way around the challenging and undulating par 72 course laid out on luxurious, undulating and verdant parkland.

The course was designed by Laurence Allamby, a young golf professional who had studied Golf Architecture and Course Design under the world famous course architect Dr. Alistair McKenzie.
