MOTUEKA OPEN RESULT AND TASMAN OOM POINTS

Congratulations to Eve Clarke and Haydn Morgan, who have taken out the 2017 Motueka Open played recently. In another stellar day, Haydn narrowly held off young Matt Grimes with a +4 round of 76 to win by one stroke. Haydn has won this tournament multiple times over a long time span, so it’s great to see him back in the winners circle again. It happened to be a bit more of a one-sided affair in the women’s division as Eve Clarke had a +4 round of 76 to be the eventual winner by 17 strokes. Erin is off to the Lee Westwood Academy in Scotland in April. leaderboards: Top 10 men: (receiving OOM points) 1. Haydn Morgan- 147 2. Matthew Grimes- 148 3. Stephen Vercoe- 150 4. CANTERBURY RANGIORA MAKE IT A DOUBLE AT CAPTAINS DAY TOURNAMENT

Canterbury Golf’s Annual Captains Day Tournament was played at Amberley Golf Club last month. Light drizzle greeted players initially but the weather improved as the day went on and the course was in excellent condition with some great scoring as a result. Everyone enjoyed a great afternoon catching up with representatives from other Canterbury Clubs and the excellent hospitality provided by the Amberley Golf Club.
