The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa, a resort with something for everyone

The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa is one of the classic hotel destinations on the Costa del Sol. A well-established resort that has been continually renewed over time without losing any of its essential quality. The secret of this longstanding success is that every visitor can really feel welcome and at home at The Westin La Quinta.

Whether staying with friends or as a couple, relaxing or play golfing, there is something for everyone at this resort set in one of the most beautiful areas of Marbella, the famous Golf Valley. Surrounded by impressive large villas and some of the best golf courses in Andalucía, the hotel has that typical Andalusian refinement, with a unique style which captivates visitors.

At The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa, excellence means not only meeting, satisfying and delighting its guests, but also creating memorable moments during their visit - whether they come to play golf or to discover the Costa del Sol- that will stay with them long after they have left and encourage them to come back and live the experience once more. This year, the icing on the cake is the summer entertainment programme, running from 30 June to 9 September.

Spanish and Andalusian culture are centre stage on summer evenings at The Westin La Quinta during the Flamenco and Spanish Guitar shows. Flamenco is the purest expression of Andalusian arts, a fusion of music and dance which was recognised in 2010 by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. White Nights are magical evenings of entertainment with the moon’s glow reflected in the resort’s impressive central pool and the captivating sound of saxophone for company. During the day, the rhythms of the Sax Show, Guitar Chill-Out and Drums Chill-Out create sun-drenched soundtracks echoing over the most select of poolside ambiences.

Summer is the perfect time of year for holding social events and the team at The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa has wide experience designing family gettogethers, anniversaries and weddings for its clientele, who have found in this resort an idyllic retreat that ticks all the boxes of the most demanding wish lists.

The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa has at its heart its golf course and its commitment to caring for the environment. La Quinta Golf is the resort’s 27-hole course, a key feature which complements the luxury hotel accommodation, fine dining and Heavenly Spa By Westin™.

Golf is one reason for worldwide travel and the 27 holes of La Quinta Golf are internationally renowned for their high-quality standards. Not surprisingly, the course is one of the most popular on the Costa del Sol. Designed by Ryder Cup winner Manuel Piñero, its holes are perfectly blended into a superb natural landscape of exceptional beauty with views over to the Mediterranean and the mountains of the Sierra Blanca, one of the symbols of Marbella.

La Quinta Golf always strives to improve its commitment to sustainable practices and protecting the environment. To help achieve this goal and address the key issue of saving water, in addition to watering with regenerated supplies, a smart irrigation system linked to a weather station has been brought in to avoid wasting this increasingly scarce resource.

Reducing the amount of chemicals and fuel used is another issue that has been prioritised thanks to the installation of a fertigation system. In addition to further increasing commitment to sustainable environmental management, this system will have a direct impact on the condition and quality of the course, as it is highly effective at keeping grass healthier and better able to withstand both the worst of the weather and the diseases that can attack plants.
