Ux/ Ui Web Design Context This project was to acknowledge a single local business that held a terrible website or lacked one entirely. Using the business’s own goals and vision to create a new site that helps to promote and strengthen their brand, using HTML and CSS.

Brandmark Work This client was in need of creating a contemporary website which addressed a modern audience. The purpose of the rebrand was to establish a stronger connection to their own business. This change created a path for their audience to recognize them from competitors. I used a recognizable aesthetic that speaks to a younger profitable audience. The original design made use of dated aesthetics which have in present day scenarios achieved little recognition. The color choices for the brand fell below the recommended contrast levels for legibility. My approach used a contemporary color palette and brandmark.

Aesthetic choices
The original made use of dark black with red, gray and white as complimentary colors. Red was used for text, and image outlines. On a few pages within the site the business used yellows. All these created a confusing contrast. I researched the small business, found information about their brand, choices, and history. I used this information to create a a unique look and feel to their site.
