football support staff n NICHOLAS COLEMAN Offensive Graduate Assistant 1st Year Middle Tennessee, 2009 Nicholas Coleman is in his first season as the offensive graduate assistant for Rick Stockstill’s staff. Coleman is no stranger to the Blue Raiders as he spent the previous three seasons as a quarterback for Coach Stockstill. Coleman, a native of Decaturville, Tenn., saw action in five games his senior year in helping the Blue Raiders to a 10-3 record and a win over Southern Miss in the 2009 New Orleans Bowl. Coleman began his career at Lambuth before transferring in 2006. Coleman played football, basketball, and baseball at Decatur County Riverside High School where he stands as the all-time passing leader. He earned his degree from Middle Tennessee in 2009.

n danny carmichael Defensive Graduate Assistant 1st Year Middle Tennessee, 2010 One of the most recognized names in Blue Raider history, Danny Carmichael begins his first season as the program’s defensive graduate assistant. A three-year starter at linebacker for the Blue Raiders, Carmichael was the defensive leader on the 2009 team that went 10-3, won seven straight games, and captured the New Orleans Bowl championship. The second team all-conference selection ranked second nationally in forced fumbles and 16th in quarterback sacks his senior year. Carmichael, a native of Woodstock, Ga., finished his Blue Raider career with 264 tackles, 12.5 sacks, 32.5 tackles for loss, and nine forced fumbles. Carmichael earned a degree in physical education from Middle Tennessee in 2010.

n wes hofacker Defensive Video GA 1st Year Middle Tennessee, 2008 Former Blue Raider defensive lineman Wes Hofacker is in his first season as the program’s defensive video graduate assistant. Hofacker, a member of the 2006 Motor City Bowl and Sun Belt Champion Blue Raiders, played under Rick

Stockstill from 2006 to 2008. Hofacker started his career at East Carolina in 2004 before joining the Blue Raiders in 2005. A native of Allen, Tex., Hofacker played in 35 games as a Blue Raider and earned 32 starts. He ended his career with 68 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and 14 tackles for loss. Hofacker earned his degree in physical education from Middle Tennessee in 2008. He is working toward a master’s degree in sports management.

Webb is from Springdale, Ark., where he led Springdale High School to a No. 4 national ranking and a perfect 14-0 record to capture the 5A state title in 2005. Coached by Gus Malzahn at Springdale, Webb was selected to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl prep all-star game in 2005. Webb earned his degree from Notre Dame in 2010.
