A Special Tribute

Fans of Lizzo no doubt are still buzzing about her look at the 2020 GRAMMY red-carpet event—a white Versace floor-length gown accented by sparkling detailing, a faux fur shawl and Stuart Weitzman strappy heels. Well, fans can re-create that red-carpet moment anytime they want at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas: The singer, rapper and flutist extraordinaire’s likeness has been impeccably re-created in wax, right down to the exact nail art and jewelry of that iconic moment.

Upon unveiling her figure earlier this month, Lizzo wasted no time in sharing the moment on TikTok, with an off-camera voice yelling “Dupes!” as Lizzo lovingly held her figure’s arm and echoed that sentiment with a huge smile. Expect plenty of similar smiles as you and your friends take selfie turns. All in all, it’s been quite the eventful year already for the three-time GRAMMY-winning, multiplatinum artist. Her latest album, Special, which dropped in July 2022, had lead single

“About Damn Time” not only hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, but also won a GRAMMY for Record of the Year at ceremonies in Los Angeles earlier this month. (Lizzo also unintentionally helped clear up the “did or didn’t Adele leave during Harry Styles’ speech?” mini-controversy by filming everything on her phone. Final verdict: Adele did not leave.) –Ken Miller
