Welcome to Gluttony:

Our festival-within-a-festival pops up again from 14 February for the 2020 Adelaide Fringe.

We’re excited to be back this season with an eclectic array of 19 venues across our Rymill Park and Masonic Lodge sites, ranging from the large and lively to the intimate and atmospheric, and accommodating an outstanding entertainment program. Gluttony’s got something for all tastes, from weekend shows for the whole family to late night laughs, spanning the genres of theatre, cabaret, circus, magic, music, comedy, dance, and children’s entertainment. Adelaide Fringe 2020 will again use its convenient e-ticketing system, meaning you can tap-and-scan your way straight into a show from your smartphone.

In addition to the 160+ fabulous Fringe acts performing within Gluttony, you’ll find our food courts offering a diverse range of delicious cuisines, bars serving fine wines, local beer and top-shelf spirits, familyfriendly activities, and multiple areas to chill and watch the world go by at our open-air party in the park. Gluttony is open from 4.30pm TuesdayThursday, from 3pm Friday, and from 10.30am Saturday and Sunday, until late – plus the public holiday on Monday 9 March. As always, entry is free.

It’s all in the name…

you’ll never go hungry at Gluttony

In 2020 Gluttony again presents two distinct dining districts to sustain our showgoers on those long, balmy Fringe nights. West Market:

East Market:

Our expanded, multicultural food court is back by popular demand, serving up a wide variety of worldly treats to feed the whole family, including Filipino, Italian, Greek and Indian cuisines.

Popping up for the first time last season, East Market returns to keep you well fed and refreshed with a second set of food vendors and bars. With performance spaces dotted all over the park, we want to make your dining and drink orders convenient before, during and after shows.

You’ll find West Market at the city end of our Rymill Park site, a short walk from our main entrance on the corner of Rundle Road and East Terrace. 4

East Market is located at the eastern end of Gluttony’s Rymill Park hub, close to the Adelaide Bowling Club. gluttony.net.au

Working towards sustainability

Bars:

Gluttony strives to be environmentally responsible. All plates, bowls, cutlery and cups used by our food vendors are compostable; our bars will serve drinks in reusable glasses and cups, and water can be purchased in reusable bottles. We have avoided using singleuse plastics wherever possible. Bars can be found throughout Rymill Park, from west through to east. Head lakeside to hang out at our new Hi-Ball Bar, call by Coopers for your brews, seek out our Sake Bar in East Market for a flight, and swing by The Local for an all-South Australian selection of beers, wine and spirits.

Don’t forget – Gluttony @ Masonic also has its own Green Room Bar, serving cocktails until late.

Cashless In 2020 Gluttony is again using a cashless system for all food and beverage purchases, meaning faster and more efficient service for our customers.

Stay refreshed with fresh juices, bubble tea, soft drinks and coffee. gluttony.net.au

A three-bin system is in place to separate compostables, recyclables, and landfill. Landfill bins will be available at only selected locations, to encourage the best use of our compostable and recyclable waste management systems. GENERAL WASTE DOES THIS ACTUALLY BELONG IN THIS BIN?

Bottle lids, food packaging NOT purchased here, plastics, nappies, all other waste

ORGANICS

BOTTLES & CANS

All cups, plates, forks, napkins, paper food scraps and packaging of food bought here are compostable!

location, but this season we will be truly celebrating it with a new lakefront bar and deck. Find the Hi-Ball Bar on the hill, overlooking picturesque Rymill Lake. Our Sake Bar will return to the East Market dining and bar precinct at the eastern end of our Rymill Park hub, this time also offering a boutique gin selection.

Gluttony @ Masonic After its inaugural season as a Gluttony venue in 2019, the Masonic Lodge at 254 North Terrace will again host a program of Fringe shows presented by Gluttony. This 130-year-old stately stone building will house cracking comedy, outstanding music, breathtaking magic and thought-provoking theatre. The two main performance spaces are named The Owl and The Phoenix, with California Crooners Club taking over the Great Hall for some very special shows. Gluttony @ Masonic’s Green Room bar will also return, serving cocktails, wine and snacks, with the same sophisticated, vintage vibe for which it became so loved last season. We encourage patrons to check their tickets, and if their venue is listed as The Owl, The Phoenix or The Great Hall in Masonic Lodge, allow plenty of time to walk through the East End to arrive at 254 North Terrace.
