Jarrett James Van Vark PELLA — Bradley and Jessica Van Vark, of Pella, are the parents of a son Jarrett James, born at 6:18 p.m. March 29, 2011, at Pella Regional Health Center, Pella. He weighed 8 lbs. 2oz. and was 21½ inches long. Jarrett is welcomed by a brother, William, age 3. Grandparents are Gene and Lois Schwade, of Mason City, and Roger and Nancy Van Vark, of Otley. Margaret Moon, of Mason City, is a great-grandmother.

Wentink, Shoger NORA SPRINGS — Bethany Shoger and Frank Wentink were united in marriage on June 19, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church in Nora Springs, Iowa, by the Rev. Wendy Trone Johannesen. Bethany is the daughter of Steve and Carolyn Shoger of Nora Springs. Frank’s parents are Shawn and Sherry Mortiz of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Frank and Cindy Wentink of Orlando, Fla. Maids of honor were Kelly Littleton and Samantha Shoger. Bethany’s other attendants were Jenny Mathre, Kelli Jo Heimer, Aly Moritz and Beth Wentink. Best man was Brian Courtney. Frank’s other attendants were Brandon Kinseth, Mark Gardalen, Ryan Baade, Luke Nelson and Matt Blickenderfer. Flower girls were Madison and Peyton Shoger. The ring bearers were Blake and Tyler Deal. Ushers were Roger Blickenderfer, Andy Brallier, Joel Crum and Troy Deal. The bride’s personal attendants were Kate Fischer and Jordan Anderson. A reception was held at the Nora Springs Catholic Community Center, hosted by Nathan and Tammi Shoger and Jerry and Tracey Samuelson. Bethany is employed by Harmony House in Waterloo, Iowa. Frank is employed by Menards in Waterloo, Iowa. The couple will reside in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
