FRANK BALAAM

An internationally known artist, Frank Balaam has lived and worked out of his studio in Globe for more than three decades. His work can be seen at the Cobre Valley Arts Center, but he also sells through select galleries in the United States. His innovative technique of painting forests captures incredible light. www.frankbalaam.com

DOUG BRANNON

What does an ex-DJ from a major metro area and a semi-retired metalworker do with his free time? Doug Brannon began tinkering with creating works of art from random discards at his metal shop in Globe. The result was Refried Robots – delightful assemblages in humanoid, dog and alien form. Doug is represented in galleries across the state and in Aspen and Vail, Colorado. www.refriedrobots.com Douglas Bruce Berry produces world-class handmade banjos from a shop and residence he shares with his wife, Courtney, on Sullivan Street in Miami. Courtney, a musician and songwriter, performed the soundtrack for the locally produced movie The Woman Who Robbed a Stagecoach, produced by Travis Mills, about the life and times of Pearl Hart. www.bruceberrybanjos.wordpress.com

TIM HARMON
