l principal motivo que lleva a un estudiante de la UMH a realizar una estancia SICUE es el deseo de disfrutar de un programa de movilidad y formarse profesionalmente en otra universidad, pero sin trasladarse a otro país. Es muy demandado por el alumnado que por cuestiones económicas, académicas o familiares no quieren marchar lejos de su ciudad. Las universidades españolas tienen mucho que ofrecer; y el enriquecimiento del estudiante que realiza una estancia SICUE es igualmente válido que el de aquellos que se trasladan a un país extranjero. A esto se le suma la posibilidad de conocer nuevas culturas y sociedades.
Los estudiantes valoran muy positivamente la experiencia SICUE. Amaya Vara, estudiante de Biotecnología en la UMH, solicitó el programa SICUE para cursar parte de sus estudios en zaragoza: “Resulta un poco complicado habituarse los primeros días, pero te vas adaptando y al final aprendes a ser independiente, vives nuevas experiencias, conoces a gente y ves las cosas de un modo distinto”. Patricia García, estudiante de Periodismo que también disfrutó de una estancia SICUE, asegura que no lo cambiaría por nada y que recomendaría el programa a cualquier estudiante: “Irme de SICUE ha sido una de las mejores decisiones que he tomado en mi vida”.

he main reason that leads UMH students to opt for a SICUE stay is the desire to take advantage of a mobility program and receive professional training at another university without moving to another country. Whether the reasons for not wanting to venture far from home are economic, academic, or familial, this program is highly demanded by students. Spanish universities have a lot to offer, and the benefits for SICUE students are equal to those who travel to a foreign country. To these, we must add the possibility of experiencing new cultures and communities. Students highly value the SICUE experience. Amaya Vara, a UMH biotechnology student, applied to the SICUE program to receive part of her education in zaragoza. “Getting used to the first few days is a bit difficult, but eventually you adapt and in the end learn to become independent, you undergo new experiences, you meet new people, and you see things differently.” Patricia García, a student of journalism and fellow SICUE alumnus, assures us that she would not change it for anything and would recommend the program to any student. “Going on SICUE was one of the best decisions I have made in my life.”
