FlightPath3D enables easier deployments with cloud-based map
Stellar Entertainment receives content recognition in FlightPath3D is changing the way travellers experience the Hamburg inflight moving map with FlightPath3D Cloud. FlightPath3D Cloud leverages a Software as a Service (SAAS) architecture on the ground to ensure a consistent experience for passengers throughout the travel experience, across any device and at any point throughout their travels. “FlightPath3D Cloud revolutionizes travel by offering instant deployment, accessible both inflight and through airline digital platforms like apps and websites,” said Duncan Jackson, President of FlightPath3D. “It extends the journey enriching every phase from preflight planning to post-flight exploration with features like live arrival gate and baggage updates, all delivered through our immersive, customizable interface.” FlightPath3D Cloud formally launched at AIX to bring a seamless, consistent, fully featured FlightPath3D experience to personal devices and seatback screens, using an onboard server or an available inflight connectivity link. Leveraging data provided by FlightAware, it also brings new features to the flight tracking experience, such as arrival gate and baggage information.

Stellar Entertainment celebrated multiple PAX Readership Award wins in Hamburg last month, including a Technology Award win for Best IFE by a Content Service Provider for Stellar Awards Hub. The website, powered by the company’s pixL™ content management platform, is a content licensing tool that allows airlines to navigate a library of award-winning films and TV series. The CSP also celebrated multiple Best IFE and Connectivity PAX Readership Award wins for its airline clients China Southern, Air India and Air Astana. Last year, Stellar and its India-based entertainment partner Skyscreen collaborated to bring the Spotlight Series to life onboard Air India. The Spotlight Series is a rotating selection of inflight entertainment content that features curated TV, movie and audio collections. Since mid-2024, Stellar Entertainment has worked closely with Air Astana to provide a fresh, culturally rich selection of entertainment, custom-tailored for both short- and long-haul flights. This collaboration introduces passengers to the heritage of Kazakhstan, offering a unique inflight experience beyond traditional content. Stellar Entertainment also announced a partnership with China Southern Airlines in December to supply a selection of Hollywood films and IFE services including strategic content curation, licensing and account management.
