Health &Beauty World Tai Chi and Qigong Day Have you wondered what tai chi and qigong are and what these gentle exercises can do for you? Join in the worldwide celebration of this special day at a special event in Maleny. Five different tai chi and qigong schools will reveal the secrets of what these moving meditation exercises can do for your health and your life. There will be informative talks and demonstrations plus hands-on workshops where you can experience the magic of these ancient oriental arts. Ahtee Chia, the organiser of the event, said he
had gathered some of the best tai chi and qigong teachers on the Sunshine Coast to showcase a wide range of the exercises. They include Tony Gibson who will demonstrate a unique fusion of yoga and qigong that he has developed. Lori Sheldon, Chris O'Kane, Amrit Lynne Hogg and Ahtee will also feature their many years of experience and expertise in these subtle health-giving exercises. This free event will be on Saturday, April 27 from 2-5pm at the Verandah Room at the back of the Maleny Community Centre.
