GLANT Spring 2025: Wanderlust

Page 1

GLANT is the creation of Gary Glant, who grew up surrounded by beautiful design. His childhood home, on the shore of Seattle’s Lake Washington, was filled with the work of Jack Lenor Larsen and other legendary names in design. When he is not traveling the four corners of the world, he lives in Seattle, where he founded GLANT in 1976. With the addition of Gary Glant’s son, Adam, in 2011, GLANT has solidified its identity as a multi-generational textile house.

GLANT is renowned for their exceptional beauty, craftsmanship, quality and performance. The collection is carefully designed: individual components coordinate effortlessly providing an extraordinary level of choice and sophistication for any environment and decorating style from rich to understated, classic to modern, refined to relaxed. The designs are inspired by colors and textures found the world over, from the company headquarters in the Pacific Northwest to Northern Italy, where the majority of GLANT’s textures are produced.

Situated in Bergamo, Italy, the GLANT mill is able to develop and create the finest furnishing textiles on the world market, producing plain and jacquard furnishing fabrics in cotton, linen, silk, viscose, pure wool, trevira, and acrylic. Suitable for high-end residential and commercial use, including handsome ranges of outdoor and flame retardant Trevira CS. Skilled artisans work on the looms to create finished product that performs beautifully and is essentially hand-made.

Today, the initial collection has grown to include approximately 2,000 selections and GLANT is an international leader in texture and color. Highly prized for their exceptional quality and spectacular range of contemporary and high-tech constructions, GLANT textiles are found in the most discriminating and beautifully designed international installations, including homes, hotels, restaurants, private aircraft, and yachts.

SPRING 2025 WANDERLUST

There are few feelings that are as meaningful as the feeling of being inspired.

And, when inspired, creativity often is the result of putting that inspiration into something tangible.

From very early ages both Gary and Adam Glant have found travel to be a major source of inspiration leading to a very positive outcome: WANDERLUST.

And what a wonderful outcome of Wanderlust, to find exciting and interesting and beautiful destinations that inspire creativity in the form of texture and color design.

GLANT Spring 2025: WANDERLUST features and highlights texture and color, direct creations from inspiration found from the world over; AOYAMA, a beautiful section of Tokyo, OSTIA, a seaside locale and PALATINO, an urbane and sophisticated area, both in Rome, VIA MANZONI, a bustling and urbane avenue in the most chic part of Milan, OSLO, a Northern European, stunning Nordic capital, refined and pure, ZURICH, tailored and smart and RANCHO MIRAGE, a thriving and desirable enclave of greater Palm Springs.

GLANT Spring 2025: WANDERLUST features new textures and new colorations, each one carefully designed, crafted, and colored, celebrating creativity, innovation and quality resulting from inspiration found wandering the world.

OSLO

OSLO, a handsome and high performing jacquard construction, is created in four outstanding colorations of Mist, Fjord, Granite and Walnut.

Oslo, the capital of Norway, is an elegant city, geographically situated on Oslo Fjord, a beautiful inlet, leading to the North and Baltic Seas.

A favorite destination of the Glant Family, Norway is the ancestral home of Vicki Glant’s paternal Grandmother, Martha Vik (get it? Viking ???) and Oslo is celebrated and enjoyed for its parks, museums, handsome and casually sophisticated interiors, and quality of life.

This historically significant area is where Roman Emperors chose to reside, and contains numerous and spectacular architectural ruins from those early days, which are on full display; a true feast for the eyes. A chic and luxurious chenille / boucle blend pays homage to this exceptional locale and Roman marvel. Palatino’s rich colorways are complimented by new colorations of Crema, Sandstone, and Mist.

VIA APPIA (The Appian Way), an extraordinary Roman feat, is one of the most important ancient Roman roads, 350 miles in length, which connected ancient Roma to ancient Brindisi in Puglia, then and now a strategically located Adriatic port city which played an essential role in military conquest, trade, and culture. A handsomely and artfully hewed chenille, horizontally and randomly striped, draws inspiration from ancient Via Appia.
