CHAMPIONSHIPS, ALLOCATED TITLES AND NZ TEAMS

Definition and Allocation of Allocated titles Allocated titles are: New Zealand Championship North Island Championship South Island Championship New Zealand Grand Prix Allocated Title hosts are determined by SPANZ, as per their bylaws. Allocated Title hosts are ratified by the Directors of SNZ Once ratified, the terms of the allocation will become a contract between SPANZ, SNZ and the Promoting track.

Allocated title dates New Zealand Championship Proposed date must be submitted to SNZ by 1 June prior to the season of the event. North Island, South Island and Grand Prix Proposed date must be submitted to SNZ by 31 July prior to the season of the event.

Allocated title Entry Forms Must be submitted to the SNZ Office no later than six weeks prior to the approved title date Must be made available to all potential entrants and be posted on the SNZ website, www.speedway.co.nz Must be sent to all Stewards and tracks that licence the applicable class no later than three weeks prior to the approved date.

Eligibility to host Allocated titles Division One track licence Meets SPANZ track grading criteria Have run the class concerned:(i) three times in the season prior to the title (ii) three times prior to the title, in the season of the title. Exceptions to the above New Zealand Championship (excluding Solos and Sidecars): Tracks must use Electronic Lapscoring as per Rule E3-4. If no Division One track wants to host an SNZ Allocated Title in any season a Division Two track can apply to SPANZ to hold the event. If no track wants to host an SNZ Allocated Title in any season, the event is stood down for that season.

Non-Performance Failure to comply with the requirements in Sections M4-2 to M4-5 will result in:A fine payable to SPANZ as per their bylaws Possible reallocation of the title Failure to comply with the terms of the contract as outlined in M4-1-2 may result in:A fine Future allocated titles being reallocated Request to hand back an allocated title must be approved by SNZ and SPANZ, and will incur a $1,000 fine. Eligibility to Enter Allocated Titles Every competitor has the right to enter Allocated Titles, subject to complying with the following conditions:(i) Holding an SNZ competition licence for the applicable class (one day licences are not accepted).
