Girls Inc. staff and board participated in DE&I conversations and trainings. The DE&I committee of the board of directors held space each board meeting to check in regarding DE&I.
The girls met with a community facilitator to talk about race, advocacy, and the power of their own voices.

We used a tool from our national office, a DE&I Roadmap, to help us talk about our culture, the language we use to talk about our work, and how to create an actionable plan for moving forward. The tool is being used to overlay our long-range plan to make sure the DE&I lens is applied to every aspect of the Girls Inc. universe – from soup to nuts.
We took surveys to assess some baseline information about our culture.
