WHO WE ARE We are the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP), and we believe every girl has the power to make the world a better place. With support from nearly 15,000 dedicated volunteers, parents, and community partners, GSEP delivers the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to close to 30,000 girls in nine counties across Eastern Pennsylvania: Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, and Philadelphia.

To Silver Award Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania: Congratulations on earning the Girl Scouts Silver Award, representing the second highest award of Girl Scouts and the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn. This award recognizes the milestone of completing your Girl Scout Cadette Journey and demonstrating leadership, organizational skills, and dedication to improve your community. A national award with national standards, the Silver Award represents the time, leadership, creativity, and effort you are willing to contribute to make your community better. Please acknowledge and thank your parents, guardians, volunteers, and family members who have encouraged you on your path to attaining this achievement. They are so important to Girl Scouting and the support they provide has helped girls across eastern Pennsylvania, become empowered for self-discovery, character building and community impact. It’s this loving community who helps girls become a powerful force for good in the world. It is our privilege to honor you, our 160 Silver Award Girl Scouts. Thank you all for having the courage, confidence, and character to make a change for the better. Srsti Niceorgaw Silver Award Girl Scout, Service Unit Delegate Srsti is a 10th grade student at Downingtown East High School. She is a member of Troop 41950 and has been a Girl Scout for nine years. She earned her Girl Scout Silver Award and Volunteer-in-Training leadership award. She is a Service Unit Delegate for Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. Sristi is also an accomplished pianist and has played for the National Piano Player’s Guild. Her favorite part of Girl Scouting is all the opportunities to experience new things and meet new people. After high school, she plans on going into the field of psychology.

KEYNOTE

Cydney Brown Gold Award Ambassador Girl Scout Cydney Brown is the former Philadelphia Youth Poet Laureate. She is an award-winning poet and author of “Daydreaming.” She is a Senior at Abington Friends School and has been writing poetry since she was in 5th grade. Brown has been featured in The New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, 6abc, Philadelphia Citizen, and Fox29. She loves that there are no limitations to writing. She has recited her poetry at The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Benjamin Franklin Hall, Lincoln University, The Ideas We Should Steal Festival and The Kelly’s Writers house. Her poetry explores the topics of social justice, self-image, love, and nature. She won first place in The National Hip Hop workshop poetry competition and loves to perform spoken word poetry. She is the Recipient of The Romero Scholarship For Excellence Im Spoken Word. She is a Gold Award Ambassador Girl Scout who is active in improving her community and is the recipient of The Good Citizenship Award. Cydney wishes to inspire people to speak their truth and share her poetry with the world.

Lilith Abrahams Chester County - Troop 440 Sharing Joy Through Song I provided the elderly residents of Green Meadows Rehabilitation Center with music and cards during the isolation caused by COVID-19.

Prashi Agarwal Chester County - Troop 434 T-Shirts to Upcycled Tote Bags I spread awareness of limiting plastic bags by creating 75 no-sew reusable bags out of various sized t-shirts I collected from the community. They were donated to the Paoli Presbyterian Church Food Closet.

Peyton Anderson Bucks County - Troop 2625 Family Recipes that Encourage Everyone to Dine On Healthy Meals (FREEDOHM) I created a recipe book of easy and nutritious recipes using items from the food pantry at HomeFront. These recipes, along with spice sampler packets, will be given for free to the clients of this organization who are challenged with food insecurity and homelessness.

Amelia Badura Delaware County - Troop 518 Crochet Toys/Headbands for Children I crocheted 51 stuffed animals to donate to Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children.

Hannah Barber Delaware County - Troop 5783 Helping Furry Friends I refurbished an old toy bin into a storage unit for sheets, blankets, and towels, made adoption bags to give out to newly adopted pets and their owners, and made collection bins to gather donations for Rags2Riches Rescue Mission.

Scarlett Bauer Montgomery County - Troop 7360 Comfort Blankets My team and I created 78 no-sew comfort blankets for One House at a Time.

Sabrina Bauer Montgomery County - Troop 7360 Reusable Fabric Sanitary Napkins I created 200 reusable, washable sanitary napkins to help 40 women or teenagers through the Norristown Hospitality Center. My Silver Award project will help the environment and those in need.

Emmee Belt Bucks County - Troop 2826 Outside Calm-Down Bench for Autistic Students I built an Outside Calm-Down Area for the autistic students of Klinger Middle School to help them during their “rumble stage”. This is a small patio with a plastic recycled bench and stress box surrounded by colorful and fragrant perennial flowers .

Eden Bender Northampton County - Troop 8373 Masks for All I created clear masks to benefit the Malvern School/Deaf and Hard of Hearing Society. Freedom High School ASL students as well as small children in a daycare setting also benefited from this project.

Sophia Elaine-Blanca Boileau Bucks County - Troop 2974 Living in Harmony with Rats I focused on educating our community about the positive impact rats have on our ecosystem and helping break the negative stigmas and stereotypes about rats through online groups, in person meetings, and pamphlets. I also made and donated rat hammocks, rat rope toys, and rat treat toys to support three rat rescues: RattieRatz Rescue, RattieTattie Rescue, and Mainly Rats Rescue.

Ashley Bollenbach Chester County - Troop 4120 Blacktop Enhancement I redesigned and upgraded the blacktop at Saints Peter and Paul School to make it more enjoyable for the students. I repainted the four squares and hopscotches as well as donated new balls, jump ropes, and hoppy taws for hopscotch.

Juliana Brecht Montgomery County - Troop 7365 Building Homes for Local Animals I built and installed birdhouses and owl boxes, and repaired bat boxes, to serve habitats for native species at the Lenape Arboretum & Muhlenberg Woods. This also helped support an environmental education center that is being created for the Perkiomen Valley School District.

Dina Rose Bueti Montgomery County - Troop 7009 Fail to Trail I built a sign identifying local wildlife and their footprints. The sign was made of wooden boards and rope and will help the students at the Blue Bell Elementary School learn more about the wildlife around them. 9


Gina Marie Burtulato Philadelphia County - Troop 91531 Book Bank I built, painted, and filled a Book Bank to place at the Frank Glavin Playground/Samuels Recreation Center to provide others with reading materials.

Brianna Califano Delaware County - Troop 5047 Bat Houses My team and I made bat houses to help reduce the bug population and have better pollination in the Borough of Glenolden. I had noticed a lack of people going outside due to the number of bugs and bug bites.

Bailey Cannon Chester County - Troop 4308 Old Dogs Need Love Too I created 15 no-stitch blankets that were donated to the Brandywine ASPCA shelter for older dogs. Also donated a brochure, treats, and toys.

Olivia Capps Montgomery County - Troop 783 Beautiful Bird Houses I made birdhouses to hang up on the trees of the RoyChester Park and Briar Bush Nature Center. I was able to buy, cut, and with my friends, build bird houses.

Gianna Alisia Carbone Northampton County - Troop 8881 Craft and Read-Along with Gianna I held seven events during the Spring and Summer for young children. I read stories and we made crafts at the Memorial Library of Nazareth.

Isabella Carbonetto Northampton County - Troop 890 Creativity Camp I taught kids how to express themselves through a series of different arts and crafts. I created a virtual summer camp program called Creativity Camp for Lower Nazareth Township Children.

Abby Carroll Delaware County - Troop 5927 Girls in Science I created “Girls in Science,” a series of videos and experiments outlining key concepts and important women in science for girls in second and third grades. The videos inspired young girls to learn about and develop a love of science.

Siana Jill Christaldi Chester County - Troop 4996 Birdhouse Trail My team and I built 10 bluebird boxes. We put the boxes up in Kirkwood Farms, part of the Willistown Conservation Trust, and checked in on them, recording what was inhabiting the boxes.

Caroline Christman Chester County - Troop 41488 Operation Library I created a free library inside the Uwchlan Hills Elementary School in order to provide children with access to literature. I also made book bags to give to underprivileged children.

Louisa Cihlar Berks County - Troop 1516 Pollinator Garden I removed an overgrown flower bed in the Twin Valley Elementary Center courtyard and created a pollinator and butterfly garden. This project helps the students learn more about pollinators and it gives pollinators a place to rest and reproduce.

Chloe Cormier Philadelphia County - Troop 7009 Fail to Trail I built birdhouses for my silver award project. I did it to help brighten up the Blue Bell Elementary School’s old nature center.

Isabella Cottone Chester County - Troop 41956 Invasive Plants in Pennsylvania I educated others about four different plants and removed invasive plants from my local ecosystem.

Jillian Covill Bucks County - Troop 2974 Native Butterfly Garden I planted a native butterfly habitat at Churchville Nature Center using native plants and seeds. I also held informational Zoom meetings about butterflies and taught girls how to make a butterfly feeding kit with kits that were delivered to them.

Lindsay Craig Montgomery County - Troop 7009 Fail to Trail My project was weeding and clearing the nature trail at Blue Bell Elementary School. I also defined the trail by lining it with wood.

Taylor Dahms Bucks County - Troop 2626 Sun Safety Program I created a Sun Safety education program for the Bucks Believers, a local Bucks County team of special athletes of long distance runners and walkers, their coaches and families. The program included the importance of sun safety (inclusive of UV protection and cancer prevention), sun safety product protection research and recommendations (inclusive of athlete sun safety kits), outlined sun safety best practices, and the donation of a team sun shelter.

Pax D’Alba Philadelphia County - Troop 9934 Queerios: The Podcast for LGBTQ+ People I created a podcast by, for, and to help queer people. Queerios was spread to both queer and non queer people to overall benefit both groups.

Norah Daly Bucks County - Troop 21588 Stray Cat Feeding Stations I created stray cat feeding stations for the Stray Cat Project, that would be used to keep cat food safe from weather and other animals. The food in the stations lures stray cats so they can be trapped, neutered, and released to help reduce the stray cat population in the area.

Olivia P Darrohn Berks County - Troop 1797 Garden of Hope I started a community garden, along with a composting program, to help ease the food insecurity in our community. Over the course of the year we built garden beds, planted seedlings, and donated over 100lbs of fresh produce to the Hopewell Love INC Food Bank, supported by St. Gabriel’s Good Shepherd Learning Center.

Sarah Daugherty Bucks County - Troop 21873 Comfort Blankets and Activity Kits My family and I have been involved with the Gift of Life Family House since 2017. My core team and I made comfort blankets and activity books to further support the organization.

Eleanor Day Chester County - Troop 4078 Bring it On Badge Bags My project featured a specific badge bag for each Girl Scout level. The bags contained the instructions and materials needed to complete and earn new badges at home during this difficult time.

Myah Derer Berks County - Troop 1797 Myah’s Simple Masks I made more than 1,000 masks during the COVID 19 Pandemic, and donated them to Reading Hospital and other various hospitals, schools, grocery stores, EMT’s, and other frontline workers. I also came up with a fun patch program for Girl Scouts to learn about health and safety when it comes to contagious viruses.

Vedika Deshpande Montgomery County - Troop 760 Save Crayons, Save the Earth I collected crayons (new, used, broken) and donated them to The Crayon Initiative, a nonprofit organization that supplies crayons to different children’s hospitals across the country and to the kids who need them. I also prepared different educational and recreational crafts using broken crayons and provided them to the Childcare Center in the city of Philadelphia who caters to a number of low-income families.

Alissa Desimone Montgomery County - Troop 1628 Training the Paws of the World My project was done to help prevent abuse to dogs. This project also helped out Mostly Muttz Rescue, a local dog rescue, with needed donated items. Videos and checklists were created that will be used on the public and private Facebook pages of Mostly Muttz Rescue to help with training and dog care.

Abigail DiAmico Bucks County - Troop 21649 An Easy Guide to Starting a Girl Scout Troop I created a website with guidance and instructions for leaders and girls in starting a Girl Scout troop. This is the only resource a leader will need to get their Girl Scout Daisies moving!

Kristen DiGiovanni Montgomery County - Troop 7009 Welcoming Space For my project, I redecorated the entrance to the Blue Bell Elementary School’s Nature Trail. I cleared the old fence and sign, installed a new fence, and hung up a new sign.

Caitlyn Dillon Berks County - Troop 1797 Birdsboro Cover-up My team and I sanded and painted over all of the graffiti and equipment at three local park locations within Birdsboro.

Charlotte Domalewski Northampton County - Troop 8472 Playground Beautification I created buddy benches, a picnic table, and created playground games for Good Shepherd Catholic School.

Emma Elgonitis Berks County - Troop 1797 Lynne Decker Memorial Bench I built a bench in honor of Lynne Decker in Birdsboro Borough. Lynne Decker was my assistant Girl Scout leader for Troop 1797, one of my best friend’s mom who passed away in a tragic car accident. This bench will also give others a place to sit and enjoy the park.

Nina Cherie Evon Bucks County - Troop 21327 Planting Seeds of Hope My project included cleaning, weeding, and replanting the Matthew Dexheimer Memorial Garden at Upper Tinicum Lutheran Church. I also designed diy seed kits and designed, built, and installed a seed kit holder at the church garden.

Emma Faustman Delaware County - Troop 5783 Birthday Bags I created Birthday Bags for The Media Food Bank and Loaves of Love Food Pantry for distribution to families in need. The bags included all needed to host a party and education of free and local resources for families to access.

MaryTheresa Fiorini Northampton - Troop 890 Comfort, and Blankets, and Sewing! Oh My! I created comfort blankets for children staying at the Ronald McDonald House Charities. These children are undergoing procedures at a local hospital and my blankets are to provide comfort, smiles, and ease nervous feelings during a difficult time in their life.

Gillian Foster Berks County - Troop 1126 Pollinator Project My project focused on providing crucial habitats to help protect and restore important pollinating wildlife species in my local community. I built a nesting place for native North American bees and Eastern Bluebirds and planted a plot of milkweed for Monarch butterflies.

Kierstan Gallagher Bucks County - Troop 21873 Autism Sensory Bags I made T-shirt bags by hand and included handmade sensory items for kids with autism. I distributed them at Holicong Middle School.

Sienna Geschwindt Berks County - Troop 1793 Blankets for CHOP I created a pattern and made no-sew fleece blankets with fringes around the outer edge for the oncology patients (both inpatient/outpatient) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to bring them comfort during a time that is full of uncertainty and discomfort. I chose the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia because I wanted to give back to a place that has done so much for my family.

Eva Gibbons Montgomery County - Troop 7343 Pick Me Up Bundles with Wooden Comfort Crosses I created Pick-Me-Up Bundles for anyone who just needs a little pick-me-up. The special item included in the Bundle is a wooden Comfort Cross that I made. This cross has a special shape to hold in your hand, to help reduce anxiety and provide a calming prayer aid.

Hannah Goldberg Montgomery County - Troop 1628 TLC Dog Rescue Adoption/Foster Kits and Informational Brochure I made 27 portable kits for foster/adoptive dogs that are currently at a dog rescue. I also provided informational brochures that were distributed throughout the community to bring awareness of the need for foster and adoptive families. I worked with To Love a Canine Dog Rescue, Inc.

Ava Gregory Chester County - Troop 4361 My Own Bed For my project, I made 50 blanket and pillowcase sets for children who need to move to live with their grandparents. The organization I supported is Grands Stepping Up.

Faith Marie Gross Lehigh County - Troop 6037 Bookcase I hand-built a bookcase and donated it to Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley. Turning Point is placing it in their safe house.

Rebecca Mae Gutierrez Bucks County - Troop 2535 Growing Hope For my project, I created Growing Hope, a garden to teach children to grow food and to give back to others.

Melissa Harvey Northampton County - Troop 890 Let Your Fingers Do the Talking Alongside my Core Team, I taught ASL classes to my community. To further my project, I created a website and interpreted children’s books into ASL during storytimes.

Emily Hatcher Berks County - Troop 1516 Helping Foster Care Children One Bag at a Time I created a pattern and made tote bags for homeless children so they could store their belongings in something other than a trash bag. To ensure that this project can continue, I created a video for Opportunity House on how to make the bags in the future.

Hana Hauck Bucks County - Troop 202 Pennsbury Pride and Spirit I beautified Pennsbury High School by building a perennial flower bed in front of the Pennsbury High School sign. I led a team to prepare, weed, till, and plant chrysanthemums to increase school spirit and pride.

Kaitlyn Heffner Lehigh County - Troop 6678 Kaitlyn’s Koup I built an octagonal shaped duck pen for Gress Mountain Ranch.

Faith Hope Delaware County - Troop 91 Faith’s Bag of Hope I created a “Bag of Hope” to encourage and motivate children at Bell Avenue Elementary School that may be struggling academically. I was able to give 25 students in grades K-2nd grade fun learning tools.

Olivia A. Hutchison Bucks County - Troop 21327 Rice Heating Socks for Stray Kittens/Cats I helped the Stray Cat Project by making 200 rice heating socks for feral cats and kittens to keep them warm in the winter. I helped the Stray Cat Project because I love animals in general, and the amount of help that these cats need is extremely high.

Grace Elizabeth Jacoby Bucks County - Troop 2535 Crafting with the Residents My project helped to bring joy to the residents of Statesman rehabilitation Center who were unable to see family and groups due to the COVID 19 Pandemic. I created individual craft bags monthly with videos explaining how to complete the projects. I hope these crafts brought joy to the residents during this lonely time.

Rachita Jain Montgomery County - Troop 7157 Ending Hunger Together My team and I built a veggie garden in Pheonixville to benefit people living in a shelter. I hope the people will enjoy the produce grown int he garden.

Hayden Folwell Jebitsch Northampton County - Troop 8948 Blessing Boxes With the help of my team, I built, painted, and installed two Blessing Boxes (one for food and one for toiletries/hygiene items) in my community. My project focused on food access, equity, and period poverty.

Kimberly Jeon Montgomery County - Troop 7288 Bird Houses My project involved making birdhouses for the birds in our community. My birdhouses would encourage birds to live closer to lawns and eat unwanted pests causing homeowners to use less pesticide, ultimately resulting in less pesticide related injuries.

Meghan Jester Bucks County - Troop 21873 Waterway Display I beautified a bare wall by painting an educational mural for the Churchville Nature Center. It will be used in programs to educate visitors of all ages on local ecosystems and the wildlife that inhabits them.

Kaitlynne Jones Montgomery County - Troop 7287 Tree Swallow Project For my project I made Tree swallow bird boxes for a local Watershed that was in need of bird boxes. These bird boxes allowed the birds to have a safe home to start families.

Emily Kaiser Berks County - Troop 122 Meditation Garden My team and I created a meditation garden for the residents, family members, staff, and volunteers to enjoy at St. Francis Home.

Talia Kasner Montgomery County - Troop 7286 Bats are not Birds I built a bat box and made a video and resources to educate the world.

Sophie Kelly Chester County - Troop 4589 Mat Rush: Global Warming Edition My project included a creative new way to teach kids about global warming while making sure they still have fun.

Hailey Kio Northampton County - Troop 8847 Expression Through Art For my project, I led a station at the YMCA day camp, each day we made art projects that had to do with expression.

Addison Kohler Bucks County - Troop 2626 Fun With Art I planned and facilitated the “Fun with Art” camp which prioritized helping kids with socialization by focusing on art projects. These children had previously been isolated due to COVID, and art programs were not available.

Ava Kozak Lehigh County - Troop 63486 “Bee” Kind, Planting a Pollinator Garden I planted a pollinator garden for the Lehigh Community Garden and surrounding Lehigh Valley community with native plants and restored a community garden common area to its former beauty with painting and paver installation. Along with the garden project, I also held a community workshop at a local nursery to spread awareness and a badge earning event for my cadette troop.

Emmanuelle Kramer Montgomery County - Troop 7360 Book Arts for All Ages I ran 11 programs at Madison Library (NJ), Horsham Library, Springfield Library, and Congregation Beth Or, teaching bookbinding, book arts, and book repair to other Girl Scouts,

kids, teens, and adults.

Donaita Rose Kratz Montgomery County - Troop 795 Little Library Recycled I rehabbed an old newspaper vending box into a Little Library. This will benefit the visitors and residents of the Boro of Lansdale in their reading fun.

Natalie Kraus Montgomery County - Troop 7009 Welcoming Space My team and I beautified the Blue Bell Elementary nature trail. I planted 3 different gardens throughout the trail, 2 at the entrance and a shade garden near the education area we created.

Sowmya Krishna Chester County - Troop 4361 Canvas Creativity I conducted an art camp for kids of the ages 9-11 with the goal of nourishing creativity in today’s youth. We completed 3 full paintings over 10 classes, and I received a lot of positive feedback about my project!

Ella Kurtzhals Chester County - Troop 44123 Beautification and Bee Sustainability in Atglen Borough I created flower boxes for Atglen Borough to beautify the town. Additionally, I helped sustain the local bee population.

Josie Lauro Bucks County - Troop 21797 Portable Destressing Carts For my project, I created portable destressing carts for workers at Doylestown Hospital. They help workers relax and calm down while in their stressful work situation.

Annie Layden Bucks County - Troop 2098 Mural for the Kids I painted a wall mural for the students of Weekday Nursery School. This is where I went to nursery school and I thought the students would benefit from a cheery entryway.

Sophia Libby Montgomery County - Troop 7343 Puppy Pouches I made Puppy Pouches including Enrichment Ideas to keep your dog occupied, treats in a

toilet paper roll rolled in newspaper for a dog to rip apart, and a bandana that says ‘I was adopted from the PSPCA’ and a heart paw print on the back to help puppies and dogs get adopted from the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals!

Megan Lindsay Bucks County - Troop 2658 Happiness Baskets I created happiness baskets for the senior citizens of The Solana Doylestown to make them feel cared about during the uncertain times of the pandemic. With the help of my core team, we assembled the baskets with activities, snacks, and hand painted signs with uplifting quotes.

Mackenzie Tempest Long Carbon County - Troop 303 Free-Standing Covered Bridge Library I built a Little Free-Standing Covered Bridge Library for Beltzville State Park in Lehighton, PA to provide visitors to the park with books on nature. Books are donated by the community.

Monica Rosalie Lopez Berks County - Troop 1645 “The King of Trash, Your Royal Rubbish” I created a sculpture made entirely out of recyclables and reusables, collected from a local park, entitled, “The King of Trash, Your Royal Rubbish”. Though this is a sculpture, it is not just a piece of art! Katie Lukens Montgomery County - Troop 7885 Helping the Homeless I involved and educated my community in helping the homeless by making homemade washcloth toiletries cases and birthday boxes with a third grade classroom and Daisy troop. I presented educational slideshows and donated the items I made to the Coordinated Homeless Outreach Center and Colonial Neighborhood Council.

Marisa Maisano Philadelphia County - Troop 9943 Masterman Queens I started a club called Masterman Queens at Julia R. Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School to teach girls how to play chess and compete in tournaments. My goal was to increase female participation in the chess community.

Amanda Masciantonio Berks County - Troop 122 Meditation Garden My team and I created a meditation garden for the residents, family members, staff and volunteers to enjoy at St. Francis Home.

Hannah Jayne Mayse Montgomery County - Troop 7287 Blankets for Babies: A project for Genesis Women’s Clinic With my team, I created blankets and gift baskets for Genesis Women’s Clinic. The blankets were for toddlers and the care baskets were for the babies of families in need.

Kaitlyn Mayse Montgomery County - Troop 7287 Buzzy Bees Project I made Mason Bee houses at Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy to help protect Mason Bees from the ever growing threat of habitat loss. By making these houses, I ensured that at least five more colonies will be able to thrive in a natural environment.

Isabel McGlynn Bucks County - Troop 21327 Costume and Prop Storage Room Organization I helped to organize the wardrobe and props storage area for the Main Street Theater. I used shelving, hanging racks, labeled bins, and other items to categorize and sort their inventory for the plays and musicals they put together for the community.

Megan McIntyre Northampton County - Troop 82136 Little Libraries to Improve Literacy I built four little libraries to help improve literacy in the Easton area. I collected books to fill these little libraries and hope to publicize the locations so they are utilized by the community.

Nisha Angelina Mele Berks County - Troop 1664 Shed The Old, Fill the New I completely renovated Berks County Animal Rescue League’s donation shed. From building shelves, to repainting the exterior, to creating an entirely new organization system for easy drop-off, my team and I made the donation process efficient for both ARL and donors.

Amanda Mercurius Northampton County - Troop 8881 Crafts & Garden I planted fruits and vegetables in neglected garden beds and porches, then decorated the area with garden art and colorful flowers at Country Meadows. Residents were encouraged to come outdoors to participate in caring for the plants, or just sit in the area and observe or socialize.

Lydia Meyer Montgomery County - Troop 783 Bountiful Butterflies I built and painted four butterfly houses at Briar Bush Nature Center. I also made a poster with information about common butterflies in my area, and how to create a successful butterfly garden. This not only taught my community about butterflies, but it also gave them the resources to be able to make their own gardens to help house butterflies.

Anwita Monnanda Chester County - Troop 41488 Creating Kodava Thakk Videos I created videos to teach my native language, Kodava Thakk, to the people of my community. I partnered with the non-profit organization Kodava Koota in making eight YouTube video lessons, which covered various aspects and topics of the language.

Isa Monteith Philadelphia - Troop 9934 Pandemic Relief I made and filled canvas pandemic relief bags for homeless people which included snacks, water bottles, and PPE. I also created an original brochure with housing resources, food distribution locations, and Covid-19 vaccine and testing information.

Navya Mooli Chester County - Troop 41337 Self-Positivity Campaign I created a self-positivity campaign at Great Valley Middle School to teach students to love themselves and spread positivity to others. I created 32 posters and 10 paintings which my team and I put around the school where we thought most students would see them. I also wrote a “Self-Positivity Teachers’ Guide”, which was distributed to all of the health teachers at the middle school.

Amber Morris Northampton County - Troop 8881 Knotted Fleece Blankets With the assistance of my core team, I made 75 double sided knotted fleece blankets for the residents of Country Meadows. I also made 75 greeting cards to match each blanket which were attached as the blankets were rolled and tied. 22


Chloe Myers Chester County - Troop 4308 Making Face Masks During the pandemic, my team and I made 50 face masks for the Phoenixville Area School District and Community.

Zoey Nechetsky Lehigh County - Troop 6678 Project Warm Baby Heads I learned how to crochet baby hats and then taught my team how to make them. The hats were donated to Lehigh Valley Health Network.

Lilly Norcross Bucks County - Troop 21649 An Easy Guide to Starting a Girl Scout Troop I created a website to help new leaders or soon-to-be leaders start a Girl Scout troop. I researched Journeys and badges so that the website would include helpful information on everything people need to get a new group started, all in one place.

Katelyn Orkin Chester County - Troop 445 Adoption Gift Bags for Rescues at the Brandywine Valley SPCA I made 50 adoption gift bags for the Brandywine Valley SPCA so that adopting families would have a great start with their new family member. The bags included homemade treats, toys, recipes with a how-to video so the families could make the treats and toys again.

Victoria Parks Northampton County - Troop 8420 History of the Upper Mount Bethel Community Park I researched the background of the land that the Upper Mount Bethel Community Park is on, and made a sign to tell the history of the park. I networked with community members to hear their stories about the area.

Zoey Passanante Bucks County - Troop 2625 Confident Boost QR Codes With my team, I fabricated QR code stickers and magnets to boost confidence and optimism in Newtown Middle School, which like all other schools, was negatively affected by Covid-19. The QR codes are linked to a website we made which is full of inspirational quotes and memes, in hopes that they will brighten someone’s day.

Misha Patel Montgomery County - Troop 7165 Ear Guards for Essential Workers I produced face mask ear guards for the healthcare workers and other essential workers at Paoli Hospital and Einstein Medical Care Philadelphia. The ear guards hold face masks in place and help prevent sore ears from wearing masks all day.

Cadence Perez Berks County - Troop 1645 Take a Book, Leave a Book I built a little library for the kids at Calvary Lutheran Church and supplied the books for it. It will allow kids to have easy access to books and to find books they like.

Judy Perry Bucks County - Troop 202 Positive Message Mural I created a positive message mural in the spirit of Amanda Gorman’s poem that she recited at the 2020 Presidential Inauguration. My mural will be displayed in the Pennsbury School District to hopefully uplift and inspire the students.

Simone Pettit Bucks County - Troop 2974 Hands-On Healthy Eating I created healthy eating classes to teach children at The Pen Ryn School about the importance of healthy eating. The participants played games, had fun, and created their own healthy dishes.

Sarah Place Delaware County - Troop 5783 Dog Toys I made braided fleece dog toys for the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. I also held an event at my local library, made an online tutorial about how to make the toys, and encouraged community members to donate to their local animal shelters.

Emma Porter Northampton County - Troop 890 American Sign Language Club I started a sign language club at East Hills Middle School, and held a sign language storytime for families at the Bethlehem Area Public Library. I created both of these events so that more people would learn sign language and would be able to communicate with people who use it.

Vedika Reddy Montgomery County - Troop 7288 Little Lending Libraries I built two lending libraries in Lower Providence Township and added books for elementaryage kids. I hope to encourage them to read.

Mia Ridpath Delaware County - Troop 517 Helping the Homeless! My project consisted of two parts. First, I made posters and flyers explaining the problem of homelessness and distributed them around town. Then I helped the homeless people in my community by making bags to hold clothing and other supplies that my team and I collected for them.

Megan Riffl Montgomery County - Troop 7009 Education in the Environment I helped to revitalize the Blue Bell Elementary School trail to bring an outdoor classroom to the school. I built a podium for the teachers to use and put together laminated fact sheets detailing native trees, birds, and animals for the kids to learn from.

Marenda Robinson Philadelphia County - Troop 93 Essentials for Homeless and Substance Abuse Patients I worked with Project Engage at Wilmington Hospital to help 100 substance abuse patients who are in desperate need. My team and I made fleece no-sew hats and collected clothing and hygiene items for the patients.

Noe Rowe Chester County - Troop 4143 Spectacular Soaps I made and donated 300+ bars of soap and supplies to make soap for the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County (DVCCC). I hosted four virtual sessions to teach other Girl Scouts how to make soap. I also filmed and edited a video on how to make soap for DVCCC’s use.

Kiersten Rubery Northampton County - Troop 8373 Women’s Wellness Retreat - Sugar Scrubs I partnered with Arndt Lutheran Church of Forks Township to assist with their Virtual Women’s Wellness Retreat during the Covid-19 pandemic. I made 50 all natural, therapeutic/ aromatherapy sugar scrubs to give to the women and provided them with information about the benefits of the ingredients for both their physical and mental wellness, as well as instructions on how to make sugar scrubs on their own.

Cecilia Ruyak Lehigh County - Troop 689 Soccer 101 I held virtual soccer workshops for ages 4-12 through Southern Lehigh Soccer. I then created a YouTube channel for anyone to learn basic soccer skills that will help players grow.

Dania Salem Montgomery County - Troop 783 Beautiful Bird Houses My team and I created bird houses for Briar Bush Nature Center and painted them. We installed these houses at our local park and nature center to beautify the area and to provide a home for local birds.

Makayla Sanders Berks County - Troop 1793 Rags to Rescues I created dog toys from used denim jeans for Starting Over Animal Rescue (SOAR). These provide comfort to dogs when they are in the shelter or going to a new home.

Nicole Sanna Montgomery County - Troop 7287 Puppy Play Gym I created a puppy play gym for Canine Partners For Life where puppies are trained to help individuals with disabilities. My project provided the puppies with a safe place to play, learn, and grow.

Emma Santivasci Delaware County - Troop 5783 Serving Scoliosis Superheroes I created gift packages for patients at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia who have undergone Spinal Fusion surgery, the surgery to correct scoliosis. My core team and I handmade pillows for the gift bags, and we also included activity books, coloring utensils, and a wristband donated by my family and friends.

Ishitaa Saxena Chester County - Troop 7753 Blessing Baskets My team and I made Blessing Baskets for Healthcare Workers at Manor Care. To thank the workers for the hard work they’ve done at all times, we provided them with baskets which included things like chocolates, hand sanitizer, lotion, hand-made cards, and bracelets.

Emma Marie Scheivert Chester County - Troop 41368 Take a Break Tools for Teens and Tweens I created a series of stress relieving fidget toys to help alleviate stress and anxiety in teens and tweens in the middle and intermediate schools in Coatesville Area School District. The items help students to be less stressed inside and outside of school, which helps them focus more on their school work.

Emma Schinski Chester County - Troop 41034 Companion Comforts My team and I made 20 dog/cat toys (10 small, 5 medium, 5 large) and 20+ toys for the Brandywine Valley SPCA, a no-kill, open admission shelter.

Shannon Scott Delaware County - Troop 5783 Supplies for STAR I worked with Street Tails Animal Rescue to make dog treats and collect donations to support the dogs they take in.

Roberta J. Silverthorn Northampton County - Troop 8948 Hellertown History Walk To create the Hellertown History Walk, I made 10 signposts around Hellertown with a QR code on each sign. By scanning the QR code, a slide will be viewed that shows a picture and a fact about Hellertown history. I carefully researched each historic sign with the Historical Society to tell people about old stores and interesting events that happened in my community.

Emerson Simmons Delaware County - Troop 5927 Affordable Masks and Mask Skills I ran 4 two-hour classes over Zoom on how to hand sew a face mask. I ran a week-long mask collection and donated 115 masks to Sanctuary Farm, an urban farm that provides produce to members of the community in North Philadelphia, PA.

Ella(Ellington) Skrdla Chester County - Troop 4361 Dog Beds I made 34 dog beds for the Brandywine Valley SPCA. They are sustainable, good quality, comfortable, washable and reusable, and they provide a safe space for the dogs and cats in the animal shelter.

Gillian Smith Northampton County - Troop 8587 Gillian’s Kits for Kittens My project, Gillian’s Kits for Kittens, provides essentials and homemade cat toys for felines who will be adopted into a new home from Kitty Cottage Adoption Center, a no kill shelter in Norristown. It also features how to videos so cat owners can create homemade cat toys of their very own.

Elizabeth Smith Bucks County - Troop 202 Elevated Garden Beds I built elevated garden beds at Floral Creek so that the residents could use them and are wheelchair accessible for community inclusivity.

Abby Steadman Bucks County - Troop 2626 Super Sports Resource My project is called Super Sports Resource. It is a website that lists all athletic programs in the Bucks County County area that offer teams or activities for children with disabilities.

Kaelyn Grace Stek Montgomery County - Troop 7287 Painted Rock Scavenger Hunt I created a painted rock scavenger hunt at the Children’s Garden at Althouse Arboretum in Pottstown, PA. My team and I hid 22 colorful and uniquely painted rocks (14 for the hunt, and 8 ‘distraction’ rocks) using a wide variety of designs/pictures. This scavenger hunt added more color to the trail with a fun new activity for the children who visit the arboretum.

Averi Leigh Stitzer Northampton County - Troop 8881 Crafts & Garden I made Crafts with the residents at Country Meadows, a retirement community in Bethlehem, PA.

Giana Stoltzfus Berks County - Troop 1797 Garden of Hope My fellow scout Olivia and I created a community garden and composting program at St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Douglasville. Our work produced 5 large donations of vegetables to the Hopewell Love Food Bank.

Annabella M. Story Northampton County - Troop 8948 Rainy Day Kits I created rainy-day craft kits for Camp Mountain House Counselors to use when it rains at camp. The over 20 kits were designed for each Girl Scout age group, Daisies to Cadettes (5+ kits per group) and included step-by-step directions with pictures, a completed sample craft, supplies, cutouts (with templates to create more), and an order form for requesting replacement supplies.

Anika Suresh Montgomery County - Troop 7288 Groovy Gardens I taught kids to eat healthy by leading workshops where the kids created their own mini garden box where they could grow their own veggies. My project also included learning and making posters about eating healthy.

Megan Tarantino Lehigh County - Troop 6075 Parkland Chairs I built a bench and donation bin for Parkland Cares Food Pantry in Orefield. I also made activity bags for the young kids who have to wait in the long lines during food distributions.

Audrey Thomson Bucks County - Troop 2625 Confidence Boost My core team members and I worked to create over 900 stickers and magnets with a QR code for our local middle schoolers. When scanned, the QR code will take them to a website we created filled with inspirational quotes, gifs, memes, and pictures.

Morgan Trinley Montgomery County - Troop 7287 Comfort for Cancer My goal was to help local cancer patients be comfortable while receiving chemotherapy treatment or radiation treatment, keep them warm, and remind them that they are loved by making and donating no-sew lap blankets.

Isabella Tront Delaware County - Troop 5952 Making Masks and Making a Difference I created 100 mask kits to give to people in need to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. I was able to reach the community of Henry O. Eisenberg Elementary School and Shipley Manor Nursing Home through my project and help make a difference especially in a time of need.

Stella Tucker Delaware County - Troop 4619 Saving the Songbirds I held 2 seminars and educated over 20 youth in my community on the importance of songbirds and how to save them by increasing their population. Then, the kids had a chance to showcase what they learned by drawing their favorite songbird.

Vashti Valentine Philadelphia County - Troop 91 Complete the Task...... Wear a Mask My project was to make masks for the seniors at Murphy A.M.E. Church.

Shivika Varshney Chester County - Troop 4481 The Next Fem Gen The purpose of my project was to inspire young girls to pursue their passion and teach kids about the gender gap that exists in the world through books.

Bridget Veitz Bucks County - Troop 2592 Furry Fiesta For my project, I worked with the EASEL Animal Rescue League, Shelter, & Pet Adoptions in Ewing, NJ. I received donations from a local grocery store and made an instructional video on how to bake homemade dog treats and delivered over 100 to the shelter. To raise awareness, I made an informational brochure on the benefits of adopting pets from a rescue.

Isabella Wahl Chester County - Troop 4078 Bring It On Badge Bags For my Silver Award Project, I found a way for girls to earn badges even in the depths of a pandemic. To do this, I gathered a team and put together different bags full of all the necessary items and instructions needed to complete various badges for all different levels of Girl Scouts and assembled and distributed the bags to different Girl Scout troops so they could continue earning badges even though they could not meet up in person.

Katelyn Wascavage Delaware County - Troop 5882 Building Birdhouses My team and I made 2 birdhouses and painted 1 bird feeder. We did this for residents in a nearby senior living home, Sunrise.

Rachel Wayne Bucks County - Troop 21327 Yardley Loves Lake Afton I designed a patch program for local Girl Scouts to learn about the historic Lake Afton in Yardley, and how to help. My team and I tested the water weekly to keep an eye on the health of the lake as well.

Hazel Weakley Chester County - Troop 4308 Dog Kits for Dog Foster Families I created 30 starter kits for people who are fostering dogs through To Love a Canine Rescue. The purpose was so foster families are not spending their money for the dogs and the dogs were given items to comfort them in their new surroundings.

Ashley Weber Chester County - Troop 407 Boxes of Cheer I helped CHOP by making boxes of cheer to brighten up cancer patients’ days. I chose this project because I am interested in a career in the oncology department and love to share hope and kindness with patients.

Yardenah Weinstein Bucks County - Troop 266 Lending Library I built a lending library in the Robortson Morris apartment complex in Morrisville PA. It will help young readers get excited about reading.

Nora Whalen Montgomery County - Troop 7286 Church Garden I built a garden in which I grew vegetables. I then donated said vegetables to the local Food Bank.

Jasmine Wielgoszinksi Philadelphia County - Troop 9364 Community Garden I organized and built a community garden so that I could spread some joy in my neighborhood. I did it at the Associated Polish Home because I am of Polish heritage.

Ariana Williams Lehigh County - Troop 643 Hummingbird Zen Garden I created a Hummingbird Zen Garden at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center. I created a safe place for hummingbirds to live and eat by building hummingbird houses and planting hummingbird plants. People walking by the garden can sit on the bench, relax, and enjoy the garden.

Delia Winas Northampton County Beautifying The Gress Mountain Ranch My project took place at The Gress Mountain Ranch to help the animals living there and the underprivileged and disabled kids who go to ranch camp every summer. I painted 22 benches and 9 picnic tables. I also stained a fence, feeder, 4 animal enclosures, and a few small things.

Mary Ashlyn Wolf Bucks County - Troop 2812 Pollinator Garden I made a pollinator garden at two residential homes. I planted plants that would attract pollinators and keep them in the area so the other plants in the area would thrive.

Brianna Kathleen Wunderler Lehigh County - Troop 8472 Playground Beautification I beautified my old school playground by repainting two four-square games and three hopscotches with painted rocks that they can use for the hopscotch. I also painted new games: Caterpillar ABC Game, Foot String Game, and two Tic Tac Toe Games. Added these meant more games for the children.

Kellianne Yizzi Bucks County - Troop 2626 STEM/STEAM My Silver Award project was running a STEM/STEAM camp for children in my community. This camp gave the children an excellent opportunity to engage in fun activities while learning about science.

Susanna Yost Montgomery County - Troop 7009 Education in the Environment I built benches to create an outdoor learning environment for the students at Blue Bell Elementary School.

AugustGrace Young Bucks County - Troop 2945 Newtown Community Cleanup I organized litter cleanups and created a sign to prevent littering to help local wildlife and residents of Newtown. I cleaned up litter to help the environment and make the area cleaner overall.

Norah Youngblood Bucks County - Troop 2974 Food Insecurity in Trenton NJ My project raised awareness for the food insecure. This project included making bags out of bandanas, collecting food, filling bags and presenting to a local food pantry. I also started a club in my school to continue to serve the food pantry on an ongoing basis.
