Perkiomen Valley High School

12th Grade

Cassidy is a 12th grade student at Perkiomen Valley High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society, the field hockey team, the winter and spring track and field teams, the band, and the chorus. Outside of school, Cassidy plays indoor and outdoor club field hockey and recreational basketball. Within her church, she sings, attends youth group, and has been involved in several mission projects. Last summer she traveled to North Carolina to help rebuild a wheelchair ramp for a couple in need. She is an active volunteer with Days for Girls. She is a member of Troop 741, is a Gold Award Girl Scout, and has earned her Trifecta Award, completing her Silver and Bronze awards, as well. After high school, Cassidy plans to attend the University of Rochester, major in biology on a pre-med track, and play field hockey.

Allie is a 11th grade student at the Perkiomen School where she is a member of the varsity swim and lacrosse teams. She is a peer tutor and recently played the Queen of Hearts in her school production of Alice in Wonderland. Allie earned her Silver Award for her work with the Fresh Air Fund and is currently working on her Gold Award. Take the Lead is one of her favorite parts of Girl Scouts—she has been the Campership Lead, carried the American flag in the Color Guard, and worked as a Greeter in past events. After spending last year abroad in Germany through a scholarship program provided by the US State Department, Allie has discovered a passion for international relations and diplomacy and hopes to pursue this in college and beyond.

10th Grade

Vashti is a 10th grader at Philadelphia Performing Arts where she is a member of the school basketball team, choir, and theater. One of Vashti’s favorite Girl Scout memories is being on the front page of the newspaper during her first year of selling Girl Scout Cookies as a Daisy Girl Scout. Through selling Girl Scout Cookies, Vashti has traveled to Savannah, Georgia, New York, and Washington, DC. She has enjoyed her experiences with Take the Lead in the past as a Raffle Rover, Host, and Chorus member. After high school, Vashti would like to attend Howard University with the goal to become an author.

10th Grade

Anna is a 10th grader at Haverford High School and is the President of the Student Board at Wolf Performing Arts Center. She has been performing in theater productions since the 3rd grade and is currently in her school's production of Into the Woods. Anna is most proud of her time spent at Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania camps. This will be her 10th summer at camp, and she is excited to grow her leadership skills as an intern at Camp Wood Haven. Anna participated in the Take the Lead Chorus in previous years and is happy to be a Presenter this year! After high school, Anna would love to attend Savannah College of Art and Design, pursuing a degree in interior design with a minor in elementary education.
