To begin with, irresponsible burrowing can result in erosion, sinkholes, loss of lives, the contamination of soil, groundwater, and surface water by the chemicals emitted from mining processes. Project FECES is an innovation idea that was developed by a group of students in 12-Matatag. Methane is one of the most produced air pollutant in our planet, it is also one the of the contributors on the global warming issue. Landfills is one of the producers of methane gas and some of the methane gas is created with manure/feces. Methane is not just bad for our environment, these are also used in producing heat and light in some scenarios. This invention aims to provide a sustainable method of turning manure into natural gas in order to address many environmental issues and offer a renewable energy source at the same time.
