Alison Chapman, County Welfare Officer, Oxfordshire Hockey Association.

Audiences are invited to consider a range of issues including the way in which perpetrators of abuse use sport to groom potential victims, the role of the welfare officer, whistleblowing, and the impact of abuse on the individual, the club and the sport; and the benefits of a pro-active rather than reactive approach to safeguarding.

£10 per ticket

Early Bird Discount - ”Buy one get one free” until 25th May

3.30pm - Matinee Performance for sports development professionals and those working in the Safeguarding Children field.

The purpose of the Early Bird discount is more than offering a great deal. We want you to bring someone else from your club or organisation as we firmly believe that Safeguarding is not solely the responsibility of a Welfare Officer. It’s everyone’s responsibility.

7pm – Evening Performance for welfare officers, club committee members and volunteers, coaches, youth workers, students, teachers and the general public.

If you’re from a sports club then why not invite your chairman, coaches or any other club volunteers. If you are a PE teacher then bring along your Headmaster or colleagues and demonstrate to them how important Safeguarding in Sport is.
