Hello and welcome to re-designed and re-purposed Garfield Heights Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) business and community directory! The GHCC mission is: “to promote, educate, and unite the local businesses and community,� and I wanted to take a moment to reflect upon how the GHCC is working to put this mission into practice. History of the Garfield Heights Chamber of Commerce
The Garfield Heights Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) was originally established in the late 1950’s - but needed to be redesigned for the 21st century. In 1994, city officials and local business people formed a committee to determine if there was sufficient interest to rejuvenate the Chamber of Commerce. The interest was there, and in the spring of 1995 the new GHCC held its first meeting in the Knights of Columbus Hall. Since 1995, the GHCC has grown its membership. The mission statement was revised in 2012 to focus on building business and community relationships. We anticipate that the growth within our chamber will continue and we are pleased to work alongside our members as well as the City of Garfield Heights and the community to attract and retain successful businesses.
