New Board of Directors 2008-2009

Members and guests gathered on April 24th at the beautiful facilities of Piedmont Hospital in downtown to meet and network at the chamber’s quarterly Membership Meeting. Approximately 140 attendees enjoyed this lively event that included a Latinstyle buffet especially prepared for the GHCC. The program for the evening opened with Mr. Al Moreno, GHCC Chair, offering welcoming remarks and thanking the GHCC partners. Following Mr. Moreno remarks, Dr. Jaime Burkle – Cardiologist, Piedmont Heart Institute, followed by greeting the crowd and addressing the initiatives of Piedmont Hospital. Dr. Elsa Lopez - Family Practice Physician, Piedmont Physicians Group Group, also welcomed and thanked the members for attending the meeting. Ms. Sandra Font, Interim President, GHCC, greeted the attendees and described the GHCC 2008-2009 Board election process. Ms. Font later announced the Board election results and 2008-2009 Board Swearing-in Ceremony. Following the swearing-in of our new board, sixteen new members introduced themselves to the group. During the event, a total of three companies signed up for membership. Welcome to the chamber new members!
