ZAGOTT Reviews Written by Mr. Gott’s Sixth Grade Class 2015

ZAGOTT During the months of January and February, sixth graders devoted the bulk of their Writing Workshop time to writing reviews. We began by reviewing our favorite and least favorite movies; we continued by reviewing restaurants; and we concluded by writing student-choice “Wild Card” reviews. All reviews in this guide were written and edited entirely by students. Writing a review forces an author to do two important things: approach the world from a critical perspective and develop a unique voice. The best reviewers are those whose work demonstrates a level of consistency and an engagement with the material they are reviewing. Our Zagott Guide is divided into three sections:

I. Movie Reviews II. Restaurant Reviews III. Other Reviews We invite you to consult our review guide to discover great places to eat, great movies to watch (or horrible movies to avoid), and information about your favorite automobile, brand of tissues, pair of shoes, and much, much more! ! !

Movie Reviews

Sofia Ebbesen 2/19/15 English 6 Blue

In Time: Live Forever or Die Trying

Want a thrilling movie that will have you slipping off your seat? A movie with an action filled love story? Then In Time is the movie for you! In Time stars Amanda Seyfried, movie actor known well for playing Sophie in Mamma Mia, and two-time grammy award winner for his singing career, and well known for playing “Dylan” in “Friends with Benefits”, Justin Timberlake. Justin Timberlake plays a low-class, twenty five year old, Will Salas, working daily just for minutes of more time to live, while Amanda Seyfried, plays a rich, twenty year old, Sylvia Weis who spends her life with two body guards by her side twenty four seven. This movie is filled with several climaxes. The energy infused in the action never stops. Sharing, and sometimes stealing time is a risk that occasionally comes with a reward. Will Salas strives for more time to take his fifty year old mother to New Greenwich, the richest time zone, where people rich in time live. As Will Salas works Sylvia has no problem living life for her father is the owner of the one and only Weiss Time-lenders, where people go to borrow time and pay it back when they have the time. In this world you have a choice, strive hard, and succeed to live forever, or, die trying. Watch your clock, time’s running out, and it’s not stopping.

Restaurant Reviews

Will Sarbinowski English 6 Blue 2/19/15

The Capitol Grill is the best restaurant I have ever been to. The noise level was very low and there were no little kids screaming and running around. The food came very quickly and tasted delicious. They have amazing filet mignons and very tasty seafood. The restaurant was a bit pricy but it was definitely worth it. For desert, they have all sorts of cakes, ice creams, pies, and fruits. You will not be disappointed if you go to eat there.
