LaNesha Tabb is an apron-donning educator from Indianapolis, Indiana with 17 years of teaching and professional development experience. LaNesha is the content creator behind Education With An Apron where she creates fresh and innovative teaching resources. LaNesha love to work with teachers who desire to think out of the box through rigorous, and globally connected resources, books, and ideas. LaNesha has worked with thousands of educators across the United States through conferences and custom professional development sessions. LaNesha specializes in helping primary educators master their writing block and teaching culturally relevant social studies topics.

Joanne has been changing lives teaching for 26 years. She is a fourth-grade classroom teacher who continues to passionately and relentlessly pursue limitless futures for her students Joanne creates a class family and culture of learning where each class member holds themselves responsible for their learning and for leaving no other student in the class behind. Joanne prides her classroom on making differentiated, standards-aligned content not only engaging and challenging, but student-centered and fun! She shares her creative and motivational expertise on her social media, (Head Over Heels For Teaching).

JOANNE MILLER

Shane is currently a district-level instructional coach in Colorado. She coaches teachers and administrators as well as presents professional development for educators K-12 She has two Master’s degrees, one in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on literacy and one in School Leadership. She is currently working on her doctorate in Educational Equity and looking to graduate in Spring 2024. Shane presents nationally on topics such as the science of learning, the science of reading, and on her book Be the Flame, which focuses on building relationships and community within education.

Megan Polk is an educator and literacy specialist living in Nashville, Tennessee. She has over a decade of teaching experience across elementary grades and uses best practices and innovation to meet and reach students where they are. Megan is the content creator behind The Literacy Dive where she creates reading and writing resources that are creative, effective, high-impact, and comprehensive. She is the founder of The Daily Writing Disguise, a writing membership, that prioritizes daily writing and embeds various types of writing and skills into writing activities in an intriguing and interactive way. Megan is dedicated to supporting teachers, parents, and students everywhere! She loves connecting with educators through Instagram and enjoys diving into ALL things literacy every Monday on The Literacy Dive Podcast. She seeks to equip teachers who share similar challenges and have the same mission: to close the gap, to increase student confidence and achievement, and to develop students who will expand their true love for literacy. Megan has presented at local, regional, and national teacher conferences and enjoys sharing her expertise and passion for literacy. Megan realizes the power of collaboration and the positive impact it holds - teachers are truly better together!

MEGAN POLK

Juan Edgar Gonzalez Jr. is an elementary public school teacher in Dickinson, Texas. Since he was a kid, he knew teaching would be a future chapter in his life. If you were to rummage through old family photos, you’d quickly find pictures of Juan holding a book or attempting to teach his younger brothers something new Juan pursued this dream and obtained a B.A. in interdisciplinary studies at the University of Houston. With over ten years of classroom experience in first, second, and third grade, he has learned that in order to create a nurturing classroom experience, educators must put students before everything else they do in the classroom. Juan believes that educators are most successful when we listen to what students need and who they are. In the last few years, Juan has used social media to share ideas and his love for literacy with other educators. This platform has given Juan opportunities to travel around the world to visit schools, blog for publishing media giant Scholastic Inc , and speak at various education conferences His mission through this work is to spotlight the great work all educators are doing in classrooms and to inspire everyone to read more books.

JUAN E GONZALEZ JR.

Wade King attended Anderson University, where he received both his undergraduate degree and his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. Wade has been recognized as a District Choice Teacher and Teacher of The Year. His students’ outstanding achievement scores and growth on standardized tests were some of the highest scores in the state of South Carolina

Mr. King attributes his students’ success to a “ no excuse ” policy that he models himself. The relationships he fosters with his students, their families, and community is the driving force behind his teaching. Mr. King’s classroom is filled with music, engagement, rigor, and discipline. He strives to prepare his students for their futures and not their pasts, while also placing an emphasis on global learning.

WADE KING

Originally from Long Island, New York, Chris is an award-winning educator, administrator, and professional speaker and host with a passion for education. He is a double graduate of the University of Central Florida with degrees in Elementary Education (B.S) and Educational Leadership (M.Ed) and has served as a highly effective teacher, instructional coach, and administrator in both Orlando, FL and Harlem, NY. A former employee of the Walt Disney Company and lead host for Radio Disney in both the New York City and Orlando markets, Chris has years of experience captivating audiences, families, and clients with his high energy and enthusiasm and has since found a way to bring that same experience and “magic” into schools and classrooms throughout the country. Because of this, Chris was honored with Macy’s Magic of Teaching: Magic of Innovation Award, awarded the Elementary School Teacher of the Year and overall District Teacher of the Year for his district, named one of UCF’s Top 30 Under 30, and had the opportunity to ring the closing bell of the Nasdaq Stock Market closing bell in New York City.

Amelia Capotosta is an Ohio educator, who brings a contagious amount of enthusiasm, positivity, and creativity to the education world. She is a forever optimist, and is passionate about many things including her family, students, books, pairing education and engagement With classroom experience from elementary to middle school, Amelia has first-hand knowledge of the effectiveness of researchbased strategies in the classroom, and how to design and implement them. She has spent dedicated time creating research-based resources that bring books to life in classrooms all over. Amelia knows that true comprehension takes place across all subject areas, and is able to help educators and administrators take actionable steps towards cross-curricular teaching that is engaging, meaningful, rigorous, and effective. She is certified in Orton Gillingham methodology and has worked to support thousands of educators, adminstrators, coaches, and specialists on the research and science backed methods to teach reading. As a national speaker, presenter, educator, and consultant, Amelia has had the opportunity to inspire and support thousands of educators, administrators, coaches, and specialists. Each Get Your Teach On session is intentionally designed on a foundation of providing educators and leaders with research-based, best instructional practices to accelerate student learning and truly transform instruction. Grade level tracks are specifically created to provide educators with a meaningful journey of instruction and learning with integration of specific PreK-8 grade level standards throughout the conference experience. Step onto the court for an action-packed session to improve setting expectations and cultivating collaboration to maximize instructional minutes and effectiveness. “Build Your Dream Team” with Liz and Amelia as they help you create your playbook to define clear roles and expectations, develop effective communication and collaboration systems, and facilitate or advocate for champion-style training and development In this session, you'll be coached to create what is needed to clearly outline and prepare expectations and boundaries for all members of the instructional team. Liz Sherman has been an educator since 2007 who brings her enthusiasm and funloving energy to special education. She believes in creating equitable and inclusive learning environments where students of all abilities are successful learners She’s taught grades K-8, the majority of them in grades K-3, across various models - selfcontained, resource, and co-taught - and was an Assistant Director and then Director of Special Education before returning to the classroom. Before being in the classroom, she taught in the informal setting for the Walt Disney Company at Animal Kingdom for their Animal Programs & Environmental Initiatives both on-stage and backstage. Liz prides herself in advocating for her students, creating school-wide systems and supports that benefit everyone, and building strong relationships with her students, families, and general education teaching teams.

LIZ SHERMAN

Rebekah Poe, M. Ed. is an award-winning former special education teacher and a national teaching conference presenter with over a decade of experience in the special education field. She has experience at every grade level and in every type of classroom- from high school transition programs and multiple disability self-contained classes to middle school co-teaching and elementary resource. As a presenter and speaker, Rebekah focuses on providing teachers with the training necessary to offer equitable education and establish connections to students of all ability levels in an inclusive setting She has created differentiated resources for companies like LEGO Education to ensure accessibility for all. Her first book Blueprint for Inclusion will be available late 2024. When she's not working with educators, she can be found at the closest coffee shop with a piping hot latte and a good book!
