The Magic They say happiness is wealth, that love is just a fairytale And hopes and dreams should be left buried inside Living in the past, only dreaming of the future And always reaching out for another to confide in Such a solitary soul combined with a spiralling mind But you were slowly losing grasp of all distinction Dreams constantly consuming your thoughts Like a total eclipse denying perception

You were going to travel far, as far as the moonlight and sunlight shines So very far away, where people might try to understand your mind

The Magic

And I was trying to be right by your side

Your intoxication was just to spite the warnings, you wished for a friend but embraced seclusion Too much contemplation on the will to live, too much hesitation to let anyone in

The Magic

Those long talks on and on about our horizons Dancing like the wind as it swirls with the tide

The Magic

Your mind travelled like a speeding train through a foreign land, your thoughts flashing incessantly by the window What’s bottled up behind that expression? Feeling like you’re ready to burst any second

The Magic

A single view of a two-sided coin You said life tried to prove your fantasy was an act You were the constant poet so you’d write it all down But poetry loses meaning when the poet runs away And those beautiful dreams we had to bury in the ground My head was spinning how could I take it all in They say give it time to let it all sink in I lost my friend and I couldn’t breathe, the whole world crashed down on top of me

The Magic

But your heart’s so close to me A poetic mind A poetic life

The Magic always

poetry in your eyes

The Magic It took a long time but the feelings seemed to fade The pain inside, growing smaller all the time Don’t want to care about consequences My Heart grew cold, just like the many that deceived me A crying shame how the heart grows hard Can’t rise up in a world constantly bringing you down But belief is my own, I keep an open mind Religion’s not the answer to the questions I find

Can it be said that I haven’t tried Do I drown in dreams or turn the tide Trying to find a way to expand my mind Forever the dreamer on a magical ride

I don’t have to climb a mountain to find myself or make it rich to be satisfied You taught me fairytales and unbelievable dreams They’re still trying to tell us that the magic’s not real

The Magic

The Magic

I walk beneath the magic of the rising sun makes me think of all the things you could have done I’ll talk of you and keep your memory alive as the sun warms the earth and the air breathes life

I made a pair of wings from the feathers of determination. Prized my eyes open

Your memory is my inspiration.
