Thanks to the diligence of our editor, Juan Pablo Aguilar, we have finally managed to update our Journal and are busily preparing the next issue. The present volume includes again a variety of topics of interest to the collector of Ecuadorean philately including articles, documents, and commentary.
Gracias a la diligencia de nuestro editor, Juan Pablo Aguilar, finalmente logramos actualizar nuestra revista y estamos preparando afanosamente el próximo número. Este volumen incluye nuevamente una variedad de temas de interés para los interesados en la filatelia ecuatoriana, incluyendo artículos, documentos, y comentarios.
After two long years, there will finally be a life philatelic exhibit on the agenda. The city of Río Grande in Argentina will be celebrating its centennial existence with a show between December 6 – 11 sponsored by FIAF. Unfortunately, we will not be present in this event as the volatile nature of the COVID situation in the country as well as the exorbitant air travel costs to Argentina make it impossible to participate. We, nevertheless wish all our participating colleagues much success.
Después de dos largos años, finalmente habrá una exhibición filatélica presencial. La ciudad de Río Grande, en Argentina, celebrará su centenario con una exposición entre el 6 y el 11 de diciembre, patrocinada por la FIAF. Lamentablemente, no estaremos presentes, ya que la naturaleza volátil de la situación de COVID en el país, así como los exorbitantes costos de los viajes aéreos a Argentina, hacen que nos sea imposible participar. No obstante, deseamos mucho éxito a todos nuestros colegas participantes.
Finally, our hearty congratulations to our Colombian members Darío Diez and Santiago Cruz for their appointment as President and Vocal respectively in the Bogotá Philatelic Club. It could not happen to two more deserving individuals.
Finalmente, nuestras más sinceras felicitaciones a nuestros socios colombianos Darío Diez y Santiago Cruz, por su nombramiento como Presidente y Vocal, respectivamente, en el Club Filatélico de Bogotá. No podrían ser más merecedores a ésto.
