With over $1 million in scholarships disbursed each year, Georgia Southwestern offers one of the most generous scholarship programs in the state. Beginning freshmen have the opportunity to apply for numerous scholarships, including the Georgia Southwestern Promise Scholarship. Final deadline is May 1.

Inspired by former US President and GSW alumnus Jimmy Carter, this unique, four-year honors program hones students’ leadership skills through service and academics. Application is competitive and has a February 1 deadline. Selected participants receive a $2,000 scholarship.

GSW’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences offers an excellent opportunity for high school students who are interested in nursing. One of the main reasons I chose GSW was the staff and students. Everyone was so welcoming. It felt like home the first time I stepped on campus. Once I became a Hurricane, I learned events are a great way to get to know each other. I’ve made incredible friends and bonded with my teammates here.
