President Jimmy Carter Celebrates 90th Birthday at Georgia Southwestern

Georgia Southwestern State University was proud to host a 90th birthday celebration concert for President Jimmy Carter Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 in a filled-to-capacity Jackson Performance Hall.

The event featured internationally known Steinway artist David Osborne, bassist Danny DeMorales and Paul Stubblefield, who played the drums and sang.

Osborne has performed nearly every year for President Carter’s birthday during the last three decades. The concert showcased the American song book that Osborne presents nightly at his performance venue, The Bellagio Hotel and Resort in Las Vegas.
