• Quietly built a greater role for himself in the SEC schedule’s second half. • Established scoring and rebounding career highs in Georgia’s first two games. • 1st career start Jan. 12 vs. Miss. State and responded with six pts. and seven rebs. in 22 minutes. • Had two key second-half baskets in Georgia’s home win over Tennessee. • Pulled down six rebounds in just 13 minutes of action at Vanderbilt. • Also had six boards in 16 minutes during Georgia’s overtime loss at Ole Miss.
• Saw limited action in 18 of Georgia’s 32 games this season. • A backup at either frontcourt position. • Lone field goal in SEC play came in Georgia’s win over Arkansas. All five minutes of his court time came in the first half, as the Bulldogs bolted to a 19-point lead.
prep highlights • For his senior season, Dixon transferred to Oldsmar Christian School in Oldsmar, Fla., from Kendrick High School in Columbus, Ga. • Averaged 17.2 points and 8.3 rebounds for Oldsmar in 2011. • Averaged 16.1 points, 11.4 rebounds and 6.0 blocks per game as a junior at Kendrick in 2010. • Played AAU basketball alongside UGA teammate Kentavious Caldwell-Pope for the Georgia Blazers.
