[PRODAWGS] Former Bulldogs have made their presence known in the professional world, helping to grow the game across the nation. Overall, 16 Bulldogs have gone on to play ball after their collegiate career. Since 2007, seven Georgia players were selected in the NPF Draft. In the 2015 season, Georgia had four past athletes represented on a NPF roster, which is tied for the second most from a single school. Those four--Alisa Goler, Kristyn Sandberg, Taylor Schlopy and Megan Wiggins--have had noteworthy careers in the NPF, each earning league-wide accolades. Since Goler, Schlopy and Wiggins entered the league in 2011, at least one of the four former Bulldogs has been named to the All-NPF Team. This past season, Sandberg and Schlopy garnered the award while Schlopy was also the Worth Home Run Champion. ABOUT THE NPF National Pro Fastpitch is headquartered in Nashville, Tenn. The league, created to give elite female fast pitch players the opportunity to pursue a professional career in their chosen sport, has operated since 1997 under the names of Women’s Pro Fastpitch (WPF) and Women’s Pro Softball League (WPSL). NPF is the official Development Partner of Major League Baseball in the category of women’s fast pitch softball since 2002.
