Directed by head coach Lu Harris-Champer, the sessions are aimed at providing the best coach-player ratio of any softball camp in operation. Assisted by members of the Georgia softball team, the goal of the instructional staff is to assist each camper to improve to her highest level of ability. Harris-Champer and her staff want each camper to leave with the feeling that she has bettered herself and her softball skills by participating in the camp. Harris-Champer and her staff annually conduct two camp sessions. Both sessions are for young women ages 8-18 who have the option of staying overnight or just the day. All camp activities will take place at either the Turner Athletic Complex located on S. Milledge Ave., the home of Bulldog softball, or on the University’s Intramural Fields. Campers will have access to the main playing stadium, batting cages/bullpen areas in right field and left field territories, locker room, video assessment center and the indoor training facility.

Scholarship Endowments The Athletic Scholarship Endowment Program was instituted to allow supporters of the University of Georgia Athletic Association to invest in the educational opportunities of UGA student-athletes. The program is vital to the future of Georgia Athletics by providing the long-term solution to keeping pace with escalating expenses. A gift to establish a scholarship provides income towards funding a scholarship each year and permanently memorializes the donor or any individual in whose honor the scholarship is named. A full scholarship is endowed through a gift of $200,000.
