In 2004, Georgia provided the first live play-by-play of an entire post-season through Internet-only broadcasts on georgiadogs.com. Over the last several years that coverage has expanded to include each Georgia home meet (video and audio) and road meets.
Directions To Stegeman Coliseum From the Atlanta Airport via I-20 • When leaving Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, follow signs to “Riverdale Road” • Turn left onto Riverdale Road and proceed about 2 miles to I-285 • Take a left onto I-285 East and proceed 17 miles to I-20 • Take I-20 East (Augusta) and proceed to Exit 42 (Conyers/Highway 138) • Turn left onto Highway 138 and proceed approximately 20 miles where Highway 138 merges with Highway 78 East; continue on Highway 78 for approximately 18 miles until it intersects Highway 316 • Make a right onto Highway 316 and proceed approximately 2.5 miles to Highway 10 South (Athens Bypass) • Make a right onto Highway 10 and proceed 3-4 miles to Milledge Ave. exit • Make a left onto Milledge and proceed 1.5 miles until it intersects with Lumpkin Street (there is a Golden Pantry/Shell gas station on the corner) • Make a right onto Lumpkin and proceed .5 mile to Smith Street (just past the track and field facility you’ll see on your right) • Make a right onto Smith Street and Stegeman Coliseum is 200 yards straight ahead. From the Atlanta Airport via I-85 • When leaving Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, follow the signs to I-85 North (Atlanta); proceed on I-85 North through downtown Atlanta, remaining on I-85 (Greenville) • Once I-85 splits from I-75 proceed approximately 20 miles to Georgia Highway 316 “Athens” • Take Highway 316 for approximately 35 miles to Athens • Make a right onto Highway 10 South (Athens Bypass) • Proceed 3-4 miles to the second exit (Milledge Avenue) • Make a left onto Milledge and proceed 1.5 miles until it intersects with Lumpkin Street (there is a Golden Pantry/gas station on the corner) • Make a right onto Lumpkin and proceed .5 mile to Smith Street • Make a right onto Smith Street and Stegeman Coliseum is 200 yards straight ahead
Media Outlets Covering Georgia The Georgia Gym Dogs have been a regular on television in recent seasons. In the last nine years, 51 of the 56 regular-season meets in Stegeman Coliseum were televised, including all six in 2012. Additionally, Fox Sports filmed an in-depth special on the Gym Dogs that aired during the 2008 season. This “Under the Lights” segment on the Gym Dogs marked the first women’s sports team to be featured by this program. In 2013, Georgia will have the majority of its regular-season meets televised on ESPN, CSS and FSN.
The Georgia Gym Dogs TV Show For all the latest happenings with the Gym Dogs program, fans can tune into the Georgia Gym Dogs Show, premiering weekly on Comcast Sports Southeast. It also airs weekly on georgiadogs.com. Now in its 15th season, the show gives an in-depth review of the Gym Dogs’ prior meet and offers features on individual members of the Georgia gymnastics team and on facets of the program.
Postmeet Interviews Following a 10-minute cooling off period at home meets, Georgia head coach Danna Durante and requested student-athletes will be available for interviews in the Equestrian locker room, which is located outside tunnel 4. Interview requests will be collected by a UGA Sports Communications representative during the final meet rotation.
FTP Feeds There will be postmeet satellite feeds provided by the University of Georgia one hour after most home meets. Contact the Sports Communications Department for additional information.
