SUPPORT STAFF Daryl Jones Director of On Campus Recruiting Daryl Jones was named director of on-campus recruiting in May, 2012. A native of Ocala, Fla., Jones played wide receiver and was a decathlete at Long Island University C. W. Post where he earned his bachelors degree in political science and education. From 1990 to 1995, he served as a volunteer assistant coach at Hofstra and Duke, followed by University of Maryland where he was a graduate assistant coach and earned his masters degree in educational administration. He spent the next 17 years in the state of Georgia coaching system beginning as an assistant high school football coach at Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Ga. He later served as head football coach and athletic director at Griffin High School, Wayne County High School and North Oconee High School. Jones also served as assistant coach and student support coordinator at Oconee County High School and assistant coach at Grayson High School. Jones was named Georgia High School Athletic Director of the Year in 2005 and was the Under Armour manager of football camps, combines and the 7on7 projects, during which he was a twotime assistant coach of the Under Armour All America Game. He is married to the former Donna Cosker and they have three children: Marlee Shea, Annslee Noel and Zachary Kenneth.

Bryant Gantt Program Coordinator

Georgia football letterman Bryant Gantt was named Program Coordinator in the football office in January, 2011, after serving 19 years as a legal assistant at an Athens law firm. Among his responsibilities are providing advice and counsel to student-athletes in areas related to life skills, personal accountability, and personal development; and coordinating and facilitating programming relative to student-athletes. Gantt was named the recipient of 2012 Liberty Bell Award from the Western Circuit Bar Association. A graduate of Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, Gantt majored in Economics at UGA while playing for Vince Dooley and Ray Goff. He lettered in 1989 and ’90. From 1997-10, Gantt also served part time as a recruiting assistant with the UGA Athletic Association. During his 19 years working for the law firm of Cook, Noell, Tolley & Bates he served as a legal assistant, investigator, and process server.

Buddy Collins Program Coordinator, Defense

Buddy Collins, a native of DeLand, Fla., and graduate of DeLand HS, was named the program coordinator on defense for the University of Georgia’s coaching staff during the spring of 2013. Collins had served as a Graduate Assistant for defense at Bethune-Cookman since January 2011. In that position, he mainly worked with the defensive line. A 2010 graduate of Mid-America Nazarene University, Collins was a three-year letterwinner on the football team. He helped his team to three NAIA National Playoff appearances and the HAAC Conference Championship game. He graduated in 2010 with a Bachelors degree in Biology. Collins married the former Tennille Bevill in June 2012.

Tyler Maloof Program Coordinator, Offense

Tyler Maloof, a native of Winder, Ga., was named a program coordinator for the offense in 2013 after serving a year as a student assistant. Maloof was a standout relief pitcher for the Bulldogs before injuries cut short his career. In 2011, he ranked as one of the nation’s top closers and tied a school record with 18 saves. He was a 34th round pick of the Cleveland Indians in the 2011 MLB draft and opted to return to Georgia. Maloof concluded his two-year career with a 2-3 mark with 18 saves in 31 appearances. Maloof grew up around the football fields, assisting his father Keith, who has been the head football coach at Norcross High School since 1999. Maloof played football and baseball at Norcross, helping the Blue Devils advance to the state playoffs in both sports while earning All-Region honors. The son of Keith and Lisa, Maloof graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Finance in December, 2012. He is engaged to Dana Lupuloff of Norcross.
