Nikola Lomnicka returned from a knee surgery that sidelined her for last year’s indoor season to finish third in the hammer throw at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Lomnicka won the 2010 national crown and is No. 2 in the school record books with a top effort of 219 feet, 6 inches.
