Game 7: Georgia defeats Missouri, 5-2
Bulldog Highlights: • First-ever WCWS win • Kristyn Sandberg hit UGA’s first WCWS home run • Christie Hamilton earned UGA’s first WCWS victory
Game 9: Georgia defeats Michigan, 7-5
Bulldog Highlights: • Taylor Schlopy became only the fourth player in WCWS history to hit two home runs in a game • Ashley Pauly hit her first-career home run • Brianna Hesson also hit a home run giving UGA a WCWS record four round-trippers in the game
Bulldog Highlights: • Brianna Hesson drew a full-count, bases-loaded walk to score Lisaira Daniels for the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth • Erin Arevalo picked up the win after allowing just four hits in 4.0 scoreless innings of relief • UGA improved to 40-0 when scoring 4 or more runs in 2009
Game 13: Washington defeats Georgia, 9-3
Bulldog Highlights: • Freshman Erin Arevalo made her first career start • UGA produced all three of its run in the third with Alisa Goler, Megain Wiggins and Brianna Hesson each providing an RBI • Georgia concluded its season with a 47-12 record including a 3-2 mark at the WCWS • Seniors Christie Hamilton and Kristin Schnake ended their Bulldog careers with a combined three-year record of 149-64
