SUPPORT STAFF Keith Gray

Assoc. Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

Keith joined the Georgia Strength & Conditioning staff as a full-time assistant in 1999, and was promoted to Associate Head Strength Coach in July 2003. As an assistant with football, Gray has worked with the 2002 and 2005 SEC Championship Teams, as well as the 2003, 2006 and 2008 Allstate Sugar Bowl Teams. Gray worked as Director of Strength & Conditioning with the UGA Women’s Tennis team that won the 2001 SEC Tournament Championship, 2002 National Indoor Championship and 2002 SEC Championship. Gray has worked as an assistant strength coach and Director of Strength & Conditioning for the UGA Women’s Gymnastics program, working with the 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006 SEC Championship teams, as well as the 2005 and 2006 NCAA National Championship Teams. Gray had previously worked at Auburn University where he was a graduate assistant for Strength & Conditioning from 1997-1999, working with the football and baseball teams. Before assuming his duties at Auburn, Gray was a graduate assistant at Southern Illinois, directing the strength program for the football team. Gray played linebacker at Virginia Tech from 1991-1994, lettering in football and earning Virginia Tech’s highest strength honor, Super Iron Hokie. A native of Stuart, VA, Gray completed his undergraduate work at Virginia Tech in English. Gray is beginning his 12th season at Georgia and is entering his 14th straight year working for an SEC team.

Clay Walker Strength and Conditioning

Clay Walker, a member of the 1999 Georgia Bulldog football team, is in his eighth year as a full-time assistant strength and conditioning coach for Coach Mark Richt’s staff. Walker served as a graduate assistant coach under Coach Dave Van Halanger for the 2001 and 2002 seasons, while earning a Master’s Degree in Sport Studies/Physical Education. During those two seasons, Walker assisted in the strength and conditioning of the football team and instructed the strength program for the men’s golf team. In 2000, Walker served as a student assistant coach under defensive line coach Rodney Garner and strength and conditioning coach Erick Fears while completing his undergraduate requirements. Walker is a certified strength and conditioning coach through the CSCCa. A native of Abbeville, Ga, Walker attended Wilcox County High School where he lettered in football (center/DE) and baseball for three years. In his senior year, he earned the best offensive lineman award. He also earned the top scholar athlete award for his academic and athletic successes.

Rex Bradberry Strength and Conditioning

Rex Bradberry is beginning his eighth year as a member of the strength and conditioning program. Bradberry, who was an intern from 2002-03 and a graduate assistant from 2003-10, joined the staff as a full-time strength and conditioning coach and team nutritionist in April 2010. Bradberry has assisted the strength staff with the design and implementation of programs for the football team and has taught the character education curriculum for the freshman football players. He also was the director of the strength and conditioning for the men’s golf team that won the 2003 SEC title and the 2005 national championship. Bradberry also has NFL experience. He served as the personal trainer for ex-Bulldog David Pollack in Cincinnati in 2005, and he trains Georgia players for the NFL Combine each winter. Bradberry earned his bachelor’s degree in Health Education and Exercise Science from Georgia College and State University in 2002. He earned his Master’s degree in Sports Studies from Georgia in 2005 and his Ph.D. in Kinesiology from UGA in 2010. His research interests include injury prevention, nutrition and speed development. He serves as a guest lecturer for the Kinesiology department for several undergraduate and graduate classes. A native of Watkinsville, Bradberry is a graduate of Oconee County High School where he played football, baseball and basketball and won several school and area awards. He came to Georgia in 2001 as a preferred walk-on under former coach Jim Donnan.

Ray Lamb Coordinator High School Relations

Ray Lamb was named Coordinator of High School Relations July, 1993, after a 35-year high school coaching career in Georgia and South Carolina. A graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan, Lamb serves as a liaison between the Georgia coaches in all sports and high school coaches throughout the state and region. A past president of the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association, Lamb won three state football championships at two different high schools during his coaching career: two at Warren County and one at Commerce H.S. Ray and his wife, Linda, have three children and six grandchildren. Their sons, Bobby and Hal are both involved in football: Bobby at Furman University and Hal at Calhoun High School in Calhoun, and their daughter, Lynn, is a teacher and tennis coach - her husband Michael Davis is a teacher and coach in the Calhoun School system. Coach Lamb was recently inducted into the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

John Meshad Equipment Manager

John Meshad began working for the Athletic Association in 2002 as an intern in the Athletic Directors office. In 2004 he was named Assistant Equipment Manager for the football team. He was a part of the 2005 SEC Championship team, and following the 2006 season was promoted to the position of Head Equipment Manager for the Bulldogs. John attended The University of Georgia in 1995-96 where he first started working in the equipment room as a student manager. He finished his degree at The University of Montana where he also developed an interest in fly-fishing. He is now an avid fly fisherman who also enjoys playing golf in his free time. A native of Mobile, Ala., John attended McGill-Toolen High School where he lettered in football for three years.
